How does your game fit the theme?
You want to open the door
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I recreated the door from Pleh! and admittedly stole code from tutorials and sometimes Chatgpt because I can't code in GDScript yet. I tried but when I didn't know I either got a tutorial or let Chatgpt explain quaternions to me so I could animate something that I ended up scraping. The process was me thinking of a clever way of doing something, smashing my head into my desk because of Chatgpt, and scraping that thing for something simpler.

Nice game! Reminds me on The Stanley Parable somehow. Of course it could use a bit more content, but I really like the idea of it and had fun.
The only true criticism I have is the negativity about your game in its description and even worse inside the game itself! Never put "I hope you didn't hate this" in your game, let us decide that! Trust me, I've played way worse games in this jam and the fact that I could finish this and understand it intuitively is more important than the fact that it's short. I'd play tons of games like this rather than get frustrated with the first few insanely difficult jumps of yet another 2D platformer game. :)
Good luck and keep making games!
Oh and definitely play The Stanley Parable if you haven't already.
Yeah dark times like, two weeks ago? It was my first game that I was going to release instead of just some project and also the first time using Godot. I also got ridiculed by my "friends". Glad to say that I have just made my third game and have already learned SO much.
Thanks for playing and reminding me of the good old days :)
Ian, the programmer from Lukko here: Nice work on your first game! We also code in Godot, so glad to see a fellow Godot user 😁. I've only tried working in 2d, so impressed that you went straight to 3d!
Yeah I was lucky that I was pretty bad in Unity lmao. I was thinking about making a 2d game soon, perhaps for another game jam, probably a clicker game.
I see a lot of potential here! You really had me rooked with all those "STOP IT" i could not leave until i see the ending. Great JOB!
Thanks for the kind words. If you liked this then you'll definitely like the game that inspired it "Pleh!" free on steam so check it out. I'll be playing your game soon
Actually very good for a first game in an engine in just a week! Well done!
Many thanks! Looking forward to your game :3
Neat first game! Good job!
Surprised you even found it. Thank you :3
Interesting application of the theme but the game itself is too simple. Still, congrats on being able to finish your first game!
Also, for hiding the mouse in godot you can run "DisplayServer.mouse_set_mode(DisplayServer.MOUSE_MODE_CAPTURED)" in any script. There are also other mouse modes and you can change them in the middle of the program.
Thanks! And totally agree with it being too simple. I had more planned but didn't have the time to add it. Looking forward to playing your game :3
