Thank you bugsnuggle! I’m so glad you had fun playing!
A lot of people have commented on the difficulty haha! On one hand, it’s designed that way, so that you can get further each life, but on the other hand, there still needs to be a balance! I’ll take this into consideration if I continue to work on it :)
I really enjoyed this - the little bit of it that is playable sadly. Frog player idea is super unique, and the tongue grapple mechanic is really fun. I enjoyed the frog hopping animation a lot too. Loved the music, I found myself jamin' along to it while playing.
As Jay said below, unfortunately the platforms have no collision and makes the game unplayable past the first area. Would have loved to have played further.
Another UE Developer! Woohoo!
I agree with the other comments. Well polished and a great, replayable concept. Easily one of the most engaging games on the jam that I've played so far. One thing that would make the game more enjoyable is to make the sheriff to not shoot you the SECOND the ai detects you. Adding just a small delay, or some indicator they are about to attack would make this great. Also the print string for when you die is still there ;)
Ok - im a sucker for little details, and the one that made me smile in this game is how the music gets muffled when you pause the game. Great touch.
Loved the game! I agree with DGJoppe, it could use a change in pacing. Like, you could seriously 5x the mob spawns. Even better if you ramped it over time to see how long you could last.
Kudos! Great game
Great idea! Like slowpoke said, I think some sort of tutorial or instructions would have helped a ton. Also don't know how the outlaws are determined, but I was able to catch on to the fact that the outlaws had tickets from yesterday pretty easily.
Overall, great work! I really like that you chose to go this route with the game instead of some sort of western theme like most other people haha! Well done!!!
Absolutely amazing! As bugsnuggle said, SUPER great job on the animations, atmosphere and art style. I absolutely loved the on rails type of shooter mechanics. Reminded me of being in an arcade!
I ran into a bug where reloading after moving to a new spot replayed the camera moving animation in reverse.
I would have also liked to see different damages based on where you shoot. I kept shooting people in the head and they lived haha!
Seriously one of the best ones I've played yet. Nailed this one. GREAT job.
