Nice game! The environment had a nice, unsettling atmosphere, and the graphical effects are a nice touch; however, I managed to fall off the map by walking into a dark corner of the room.

Love the atmosphere and ambient sounds.

Thank you! Atmosphere was a big focus, so I'm really glad it resonated with you!

Gives me P.T. vibes which I was a big fan of.

Liked the idea and gameplay presentation, sound design is good. Hope you continue making the game after the jam is over, I think it has a lot of potential. Best of luck with future projects!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Definitely considering expanding on it post-jam, so it's great to hear you see the potential. Appreciate the support!

Man, all I wanted was a soda and all I got was chills and really good sound design.

Developer

Thank you so much! I really worked hard on the sounds.

Developer

Haha sorry about the soda! But I'm glad the chills and sound design made up for it. Thanks for playing!

Great entry, really liked the visuals and haven't encountered any bugs besides occasional camera stop/glitch which is probably easy fix if it even needs fixing and isn't just my browser problem, wish you all the best and good luck with future work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the visuals and had a smooth experience overall. I'll take a look at the camera issue just in case; could be a small fix. Appreciate the well wishes!

I didn't take a peak at any of the itch profiles, but this isn't your first rodeo making a horror game, is it? The pacing and tension build up is great here. I absolutely dreaded answering the phone, and the changing motel is a really cool concept. My only real feedback is that having a bit more direction would've been great for the player, I found myself pixel hunting for interactables. Great work!

Developer

Appreciate the kind words! Really happy to hear the tension and pacing worked for you. The phone was definitely meant to be a moment of dread, so it's great to know it landed! Totally hear you on the need for more direction; I’ll keep that in mind for future updates. Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much! Really glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and the theming. Appreciate the kind words! <3

Developer

Thank you! I'll be soon releasing an OST with some of the songs that didn't make the final cut.

My Breather dude got stuck on a plant at some point, haha. I think the game could be even darker for more scares!

Developer

Haha breather really needs to watch where he's going! Thanks for the feedback; we’ll take a look at that, and we might experiment with making things even darker for that extra tension. Appreciate you playing!

I got to the phone call, then hid from the pursuer in another room. After that, my dude got stuck like in the screenshot, and then I ended up stuck in the wall myself, haha.

Great visuals and music selection! They really build the atmosphere well!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere! That bug definitely wasn’t part of the horror experience haha. Thanks for pointing it out; we’ll look into fixing the issue with getting stuck after the phone call. Appreciate you playing!

Very good visuals! I liked the lettering at the phone call sequence a lot

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked the visuals and the lettering during the phone call. We put a lot of effort into making that moment feel immersive. Appreciate you playing!

It is a well made horror game, but I would've like that the enemy is a bit faster, and instead of just T-posing towards you it would use these poses or something else. Would also like more post processing like your cover. I'd avoid branching endings with one single choice, as it took me a while to both escape and ":(". I also had to restart the game for other endings.

The story is extremely cryptic, would like some simpler storytelling (remember, just my opinion). The starting room also didn't have wall collisions.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the detailed feedback! We're definitely looking into refining the enemy’s movement and animations to make encounters more intense. More post-processing is something we’re considering as well to match the atmosphere of the cover. As for the endings, we hear you; finding a way to make branching paths smoother is on our list. We also appreciate your thoughts on the storytelling; we’ll keep balancing mystery with clarity in mind. And good catch on the wall collisions! Thanks again for your input; it really helps us improve!

This game looks great but the holding right mouse button to look was a little annoying and I couldn't figure out where to go guessing I had to go to the saxophone but amazing visuals good job

I didn't need to hold RMB?

maybe it's a firefox thing

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! We're looking into improving the controls to make movement and looking around feel more natural. As for progression, you're on the right track; there are subtle environmental clues guiding the way. We'll work on making them more intuitive. Really appreciate your kind words about the visuals!
