I thought this was a cool take on the dating app mechanics. I do wish it was in full screen so I wasn't inches away from the screen. B-E-A-U-tiful art and music, very well done!
The art is awesome and the Tinder mechanic is fun to play with. I'd have liked to be able to play in fullscreen so I could read the small descriptions. I think having something else to look for -appart from matching the faces- would have added a little more meat to the game, it feels a little too simple (but I know it's hard with the time constraint).
Great job nontheless!
Nicely done, very well-scoped and well-completed for the length of the jam! As others have mentioned it'd be nice to either see the pirate while looking at the posters, or see them when they arrive, or to at least have a faster switch between screens.
I loved the artwork and the doubloons! It initially took me a while to figure out how to play, but it was actually very simple and fun to play after I understood. Congrats for submitting the game!
Interesting concept, great art and presentation, but the gameplay itself needs some work, mostly in the UI department. The "switch view" button is unclear, and it feels annoying to have to switch between the two views. When a new bounty comes up, there should at least be a fraction of time to see who is behind the poster without having to switch. If it must be done, it feels like it's not really a challenge or interesting to do a rote action.
Other than that, there seems to be nothing preventing the game from getting 20 non-hits before hitting the right poster. So that's... Not great.
Other than that, I would love to see a more nuanced identity system!
Agreed on the random. Simply did sudo random for now. Didn't have enough time to make a full system to handle it.
The choice for the toggle was so that you could never see both the poster and the person at the same time. Maybe that's a wrong choice, but its what we chose to do for design.
Also agree on the fact that its hard for the user to know what to do with the buttons or if right/left swipe is what.
This is GORGEOUS! Just plain gorgeous! If I had a suggestion it would be to use the up and down arrow keys to bring up the bounty poster! It just makes it easier to play with one hand!
Fantastic work you did here!
Love the art! It took my a while to figure out what to do, but it's really a nice concept!
