Description
I don't know the soundtrack genre. It's fantasy I think. I used orchestral instruments and piano as well. Game I imagined is a fantasy adventure placed in a world made of paper. The first track is a beginning of a journey. You stand in the front of the Paper Forest and think how beautiful is it. The 2nd track is a theme of Weird Creatures With Hats which are really excited but easily stressed. Nobody knows who they are, but they are cool and mysterious in some way. The 3rd track is for a Forest King - Origami Crane. He is a potential boss of this non-existing game. The 4th track is for taking deep breath after long, exhausted, but amazing journey.

Message from the artist:
Hi! I'm a Juice Tea and this is my soundtrack for non-existing game "Tales From Paper Forest". I imagined this game as fairytale-style adventure placed in a world made of paper. On my submission site you can find my soundtrack on YouTube, screen recordings from Ableton and a little special- my notes and drawings!
I have used symphony orchestra instruments and piano as the main part. Also my music is kind of dreamy and magical! I hope you will like it :)

Theme

a journey to remember.

How does it fit the theme?
My non-existing game is about a journey in a Paper Forest, so my soundtrack fits for it. Music is encouraging in some way and mysterious like a journeys do!

What I really liked that you did was to really flesh out the game design/concept a bit more and describe how your tracks were informed by your game design concepts. Weird Creatures With Hats was my favorite. :)

That piano gets inside my heart.

Good job, I like how the songs are all different but still recognizable as a part of one ost! My favorite tack is the first one, and I also like the 2nd.

On a critical note, 3rd and 4th tracks (origami and deep breath) seems less lively and dynamic, in the arrangement, and I think piano could give some breath to the other music in the 4th track! Its motive was hard to follow, a lot of notes just going and going... Still has vibes though.

I can say only two things:
1. Music perfectly fits to the game
2. I wanna play that game! Visual looks very promising ^_^.

Great job!

The vision you make through the paper and the excellent quality of the music deserve a very high mark.

This soundtrack is an absolute delight, some lovely musical ideas and everything sounds so tight and polished

This is so pretty! I loved it.

The simple rhythyms and the organized composition perfectly ilustrates the imaginary game you described.

Nice job! <3

I love the piano and orchestra combo, it has such a great fairytale vibe to it. I also like the upbeat percussion in Weird Creatures with Hats (the best song title haha) and Origami Crane. Nice work!

I love the piano and strings combo. It's light and airy. When those bells came in I got chills. Well done on this! It sounds amazing!

Great tracks, I like the playfulness of Weird Creatures in Hats. Really well mixed and mastered with a great sound too!

I like all of these a lot! My favorite probably is Paper Forest- it feels so nostalgic and- I guess "serene" is a way to describe it. Also love the half time/metric switch at the end of Weird Creatures With Hats. Great stuff!

Great job changing up the vibe for each track. They definitely have their own personality. Love the dissonance in weird creatures with hats lol great name btw. I can tell theres some motivic development here and theme continuity with your melodies.

I try to pair every compliment with some constructive criticism. Im no expert, but something I've been trying to work on, which you might benefit from, is a call and answer style of delivering a melody. Having a different element or instrument answer the melody helps keep our ADHD ears attached to music. Also love having that new element come back later to repeat the melody in a different tone just to drive that theme home a bit more.

Cheers!

ps. mixing my juice with tea from now out

Playful and tense in equal measure, reminds me of the best of the Wii era!

I especially like the creativity of it, and that you have defined the story in detail. I imagine a very cute and fun little game, something quirky and poetic, and good for all ages.

I really enjoyed listening to this! I love the chimey instrument in the first track, it gives it such a sense of playfulness/wistfulness. Really pretty. :)
