Love how you made the spread pixel-accurate. Great concept and lots of content for a jam! This should have more ratings. Sounds would be nice but I understand you probably didn't have time to implement them.
How did you make the spread effect? Is it a shader you made? It is very cool.
Thanks \o/
It's a shader indeed :) Could use a lot of improvements, but it worked as intended ^^
Pretty neat idea, and pretty impressive thing you did with that spread of colors. I wish you had time to add sounds and music though :(
Thanks \o/
I wish too, but I heard about the jam far too late and could only spend 14h on it ^^'
This is even more impressive then! :o
Really fun and well through puzzle game. The spread mechanic is really interesting and well made, specially using the black outline of the sprites itself as a barrier.
The only thing I missed was an "undo" button when I missmoved the pieces around, but since levels are somewhat fast, it wasn't much of an issue. As other also comments, a few sounds here and there would be nice.
Overall a great game!
Thank you \o/
And yeah the "undo" button is probably my biggest regret, even more than sound, it would have been so convenient (including for me while playtesting!).
Clever mechanic and spreading animation is very nice.
A few simple sounds would add a lot to the appeal.
I had to think hard to come up with some solutions :) Great work!
Yup sound would have definitely made a difference :)
Thanks for playing and your kind words, I loved your game a lot btw!
Love the fresh puzzle concept, I enjoyed figuring out the puzzles. In particular, the color spreading pattern is really satisfying. The game was very hard, but fun!
Thank you \o/ It's so hard to evaluate a puzzle game's difficulty without having playtesters ^^'
This is such a simple but awesome game idea. The result is fun and addictive.
At first I didn't understand, that I had finished the first level and have to press C. Maybe make the (C)ontinue more visible when it appears or put a message in the middle of the screen. And use more common keys, maybe space for spread and enter or any key for continue?
But that's just nit picking, this game is beautiful and well polished. And now excuse me, I have to continue playing it :-D
Thank you for the kind words :D And yeah you're totally right regarding the keys, I didn't really think it through ^^'
Love the idea ! It's a very addictive puzzle game and really neat :) I would suggest that a tutorial would greatly enhance the experience. Otherwise great job <3
Thank you \o/ Yeah I was a bit short on time so tutorials got pretty short ^^'
I'll try your game before the end of the week!
That was intersting. Took me a moment to figure out though but quite enjoyable
Thanks :) I'll try your game as soon as I have some time!
This was a really interesting puzzle game, and I also really liked the spreading sound effect. Your character being a part of the puzzle adds a whole new element and could make for some really interesting level design. Nice submission! We also submitted a puzzle game for the jam if you wanna check it out that would be great! Any feedback helps.
Ahah there's no sound in the game, but thanks anyway :)
huh... I swear I heard something. I did have music on in the background though so maybe it could have just been me hearing things xD
Ahah that would be pretty fun that your music happened to be just right in time with the spreading ^^
Really neat! Love the spreading effect and really makes you think about every pixel
Thank you ^^
Very nice entry, I think it's a very good use of the asset pack and making you a piece of the puzzle is smart and something interesting to work on!
Thanks Louis \o/
