That's an original idea, but this isn't really a fps platformer mixed with a cooking game, just a fps platformer where you look for cooking stuff

Developer

Yeah I didn't have time to make the cooking part once the player have all the ingredients, so I quickly spawned the pancakes and said the game is finished.

Great game! It reminds me of old Toy Story game. I really like the 3D platformer movement. Also the low poly graphics is really nice. Great job :)

if you have a minute please check my game too :)

Neat game concept, had a couple of bugs with the lighting and couldnt jump up when facing the stairs but could when facing away. Other than that a nice game and with some music/sound would be a great play :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks !

The lighting bug happens only in the web version, the downloadable version should work correctly, except if you're talking about a new bug.

That's the first time I hear about the stairs bug, I tried but counld't reproduce it.

I actually found this game really cool, what a neat concept. Getting the bowl in the bedroom was testing... So much fear missing that jump (seeing as how long it took me to get up there lol)

Great little game

The Static Voids

Developer

Thanks !

It's interesting, I didn't think this object would be hard to get.

Glad you liked the game !

It's cool, too bad you couldn't spend more time on it ! You could have flushed your toilet before submitting though.

Developer

Haha thanks !

Sweet concept. I like the way you implemented jump and runs stuff into a normal environment! Controls could be a bit more responsive... maybe a bit less sensitive. Not quite sure myself. :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks !

I tried to make the controls as responsive as possible, apart from the falling speed and maybe the air control, I don't really know what I could improve.

Gotcha, it´s tough. Did not do many first person things myself and this was meant to be feedback for further production or something. I can´t put it into words either but I would guess that you can´t feel the weight of the character and the movement speed might be a bit to fast (I always struggle with the relation between size and movement speed of a character myself). And than maybe some breathing or a idle thingy for the camera.  Something like that... ?

Made pancakes

The thought of you carefully placing the low poly turd in the toilet fills me with glee (or it came with the asset pack, can't decide which is funnier)

Anyway, fun little romp. Running around the house gave off some Toy Story 2 ps1 vibes

Developer(+1)

Thanks !

I didn't make the map, I used the demo scene from the asset pack. Synty Studios loves to hide some funny easter egg in their demo scene and they decided to 3D model and place a turd in this specific toilet.

When I saw it I knew I had to place an item on top of it so that the player jump right into it haha.

Hi !

I like the idea you had, it's pretty original. I saw that you started the jam late so I won't complain about the game having no sounds. I think that you have well used the map to create something fun to navigate, being so tiny really pushes to explore the house.

The only problem I had was to get the eggs, I kept falling from the fridge ! Also, it would be great if the text telling what to get updated when collecting an item.

Well done :)

Developer

Thanks !

The egg is the hardest object to get. I put some food on the edge to try to make it easier but it's still pretty hard. I should have placed bigger objets.

I really wanted to make a TODO List with the text that get strikethrough when you get an object but I didn't have time to do it, that would have been so much better.

Good idea, even though I’m a bit disappointed the cooking part was left out. You went your way making a very full environment which is awesome! I’m missing some sounds or music though. Also, I think I would’ve preferred a third person view. It would have been easier for some platforms.

Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks !

But I didn't made the map, it's the showcase map of the Synty pack I used.
I started the jam a few hours before the deadline so I used it so I can focus on the game itself, even though I didn't had time to make to cooking part at the end.

No cooking involved. I got the ingredients and then it told me the game is over, and the pancakes were already made. GODDAMNIT I WANTED TO MAKE THE PANCAKES! MY MOM REALLY WANTED PANCAKES!

Developer

One of the super small cook's secret technique is to make pancakes using telekinesis, sadly the camera crew wasn't in the kitchen when it happend so it just appears as if the pancakes were already made.

More seriously, thanks for playing ! I finished the game a few minutes before the deadline so I didn't had time to put the cooking part at the end.
