I had problems with the initial gameplay, but the idea is really good ! The ambiance is well made, with the sound and the models. With a bit more time and polish, I think it can be a pretty nice game ! Good job !
Solid game for 48 hrs! Here’s my main concerns:
The second turret doesn’t seem to be working. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the zombies don’t seem to take damage when turrets are upgraded to level 2. Level 3 turrets do work, though, so I think it’s an issue with the level 2 turrets.
The ray gun looks like it’s damaging zombies since I see red particles, but either I’m just impatient and it takes forever, or the gun doesn’t seem to damage zombies either… If it’s the former and it just takes a long time, I think I would suggest shortening it a bit.
When “mining” trees and stone, I think a bit of feedback on the fact that the material is being mined would help a lot both in terms of polish but also in adding to the feel of the game, in that it would be more obvious if I’m actually mining or not. I think that something simple like a grey or brown dust cloud for rocks and trees, respectively, would have been perfect.
Lastly, adding the wood necessary for the ship takes forever XD. I think that if wood could be added 5 at a time instead of 1 at a time, it would make it a lot less “spam E” and a bit more natural. Alternatively, if having the player spend that much time refilling the ship (instead of collecting materials or whatever) is the intended effect, I’d recommend a system where you hold E, and it then fills in the materials at a similar rate to just mashing the E button.
Beyond that, everything about the game I really liked. The graphics were simple, yet consistent, and fit the style of the game. The mechanics, save for the concerns I mentioned above, were very solid. The art was simple but effective. The choice of music was outstanding. I do think that some sound effects would have spiced up the game a bunch, though!
Overall an amazing submission and another of the better games from this jam. Looking forward to see how this project goes!
Edit: “Lastly” was a lie, I have three more comments:
As others have mentioned, the lack of a tutorial system was an unintentional gatekeeper for the game lol. The screenshot helped, but I had to look at one of your vids to be able to figure out what I was supposed to do. The game can be completed with 4 level-1 turrets and rushing to mind and fix the ship, which is how I did it, but barely lol. It was a lot of fun to complete the game that way, though, so If possible I’d keep that route open in future updates!
The other thing was that sometimes, I would hit E accidentally, usually near a turret spot, and it would consume my resources but fail to build or upgrade. I’m not entirely sure what causes this, it could be related to having insufficient resources though.
Minor concern related to beginning/end screen cards: I think the main menu should also have a button to exit game. Also, the graphics option (low-medium-high) does not appear to work for me… Also, the end screen I feel should have also had an option to return to the main menu. Finally, I think the addition of a pause function, with buttons to return to main menu, change options, or quit the game, would have all contributed to adding to the feel to the game.
One final suggestion since this comment has turned into an essay over the course of my edits LOL: I think some kind of scoring system would help add replayability. Perhaps something like a simple timer that starts when the game is started, pauses when the game is paused (if a pause screen is implemented), and stopped then shown prominently at the end screen as the player’s score would be nice?
Fun little tower defense game. My only real complaint is there should be something that tells the controls in game.
Thanks for checking it out. We have a screenshot on the game page with the controls in it. We have put them in the game ready for the update too. Glad you had fun with it! ;-)
Great music and aesthetic! Was fun trying to defend the castle, and I liked how there was a day/night shift in between waves. Great work!
Thanks, we appreciate the feedback.
We're planning on adding some updates to the day/night stuff where when it's night there's some torches that help you see better and we hope to continue updating after the jam is over.

Very cool game. I really like the guitar music. Art style is simple but aesthetic. Overall good job :)
if you have a minute please check my game too :)
Thank you! I love making music. It is one of the best bits of game jams for me. We had a great art team for this game. I was really impressed with all the work they put in. Your game is awesome! I love the shooting triggering the platforms. It is a really clever mix of genres. It works so well. I think you did brilliantly to come up with that idea in such a short amount of time. I will definitely play your game on stream later @ https://www.twitch.tv/trianglesquarecirclecube if you want to see it played live. Hope to see you there!
Thanks for such a nice comment! I will definitely be there. When does the stream start?
I like your game , I think some sound effects will improve the atmosphere.
I was able to create all the towers at maximum power and I was collection material for the ship, but it wasn't too much stone and metal to complete it. Also in the middle of the game the music stops.. and it was no sound at all. To improve it you can also add some interaction between enemies and the scientist. Sometimes
Good Job.
Thank you so much for playing! We really appreciate all the feedback we can get. I will be added sound effects soon and I think you are right about the interaction between Rock, (the scientist) and the enemies. That would be fun! You can win but only if you don't upgrade all your turrets. It is still really hard though! lol I hope you will follow us and check out the updates that will come after the jam ends. Thanks again for your comments. They really help us improve our game.
First of all what a relaxing music :) . The graphics has its charm .My only issue was that i could barely see the map it was too dark.Other than that i think you should work on this game to see what you can do with it. It has potential . Overall enjoyed it great work :D
Thanks for the feedback!!
We thought that too for the lighting. In the next update after the rating period for the jam ends we want to add torches around the castle that sync with the day night cycle and we're already working on that as well as a pause menu with an option that brings you to a tutorial screen telling you how to play.
G O O D
Awesome!
Thanks for playing :)
The Static Voids
The fine art appearance can be better. The darkness is too dark. Some shadows are weird. But overall it’s pretty good.
Keep going
Thanks Dopamineee,
We are actually uodating as soon as we can... Lighting was an oversight on our part, something clearly needed to enhanunce the playing aspect!
Thanks for the feedaback.
The Static Voids
It doesn't lie when it says it's extreme! I'm really bad with resource management and tower defense so this was a challenge, but I really like this game! The movement feels slow at first but it's easy to get used to it (in the end it's just a consequence of the field of view being so big). The music is really chill, I like it.
Thank you for playing. We love getting feedback and can't wait to update it after the jam. It is really helpful to get hear how it was for you to play.
Very cool game, I loved the music, but i think you should make the waves of enemies more progresive.
That is a really good idea about the enemies. We are trying to figure out a better way to ramp up the enemies in a gradual way. Thanks for playing and giving us your feedback. It is really handy getting to hear about peoples experience with the game.
Very cool game! Music and arts are good and well-fitting. The graphics are nice, for 48Hr you did alot of work! After the voting, definately update the game and continie working on it! Overall, good work! Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback, we plan to work on it. We can't put the updates to the game yet but we're working on adding a pause menu and some tutorial instructions on the main menu and fixing some of the bugs that have been brought up by others.
Cool game! I like music and art! And really great idea. But some times I cant pick up wood and second type turel don't work
Thank you so much for playing! Yes the second turret doesn't work at the moment. I think our guy in charge of that has figured that out now. We will update as soon as we can. We will also be added more feedback for the harvesting mechanics and checking collisions so they work better too. Thank you for playing and letting us know about your experience with our game. We need that to get better!
There isn't enough feedback when we hit the enemies or gather resources, so we often feel like our weapon is doing nothing (and given its weird hitbox, it is most of the time the case)
Yeah that was my job I'm afraid. Ran out of time for particle effects and sound effects! lol We are working on an update and those things are on my list. Thank you for taking the time to play our game. Thanks for the feedback too. It really helps us make our games better.
You're welcome !
The idea is good and the art looks nice. The only problem i had while playing was that i didn't understand how to collect resources.
Hey, thanks for playing. There is a tutorial in the screenshots but we really do need one in-game. I am glad you liked the art and everything. Thanks for giving us your feedback.
hmmm ... I won.. though reading at the comments people seems to be struggling a bit.. some running into issues of not having enough resources. .?
Perhaps when I opened up the game it got bugged somehow...
Anyways, here's my experience..
1. had no idea what to do, reading the description I knew there was turrets in this game, just didn't know how to place them ..
2. Learned where you can build the turrets, but didn't know how to gather resources..
3. Some time later I lost. .and then playing the game again (1st bug I found, is that after you lose and play again, the turrets seems to not target anyone anymore..)
4. Closed the game and reopened it. (Maybe the secret strategy comes here?) Build the turrets as fast as you can.. gather resources and continue building/upgrading them.. once you got to 4 fully upgraded turrets, enemies just can't touch your castle anymore..
5. And now it just becomes a matter of time .. gather more resources to fix your ship.
And as others have pointed out.. would be good to have some sort of feedback on gathering resources.. other than that.. I'm impressed on how much you made in such a short time.
Amazing!
Thank you for your reply!
Very valuable to have accurate feedback like this, there are a list of bugs we need to sort when we can edit the game. It was a challenge to get the game submitted and never actually got chance to test the game! Lol
But it was a blast and really enjoyed how it turned out!
Again thank you for your feedback!
I see one of the guys have played your game and rated it very high, great job and I'll add it to my list to play! 🤙
Thank you for your reply!

Good game, bugs need addressing, game is win-able with a secret strategy :)

WEHAY!! Winner winner congratulations :)
Yes we are gathering a bugs list so we will be updating the game as soon as the game ends.
Oh please share the secrets stratergy, I wonder if it's the same as mine ?
The Static Voids
Hey this game is really cool, and I'm very impressed with what you were able to do given the very short time limit. Though I wasn't sure about certain aspects of the game, like if the main character had a way to attack or how to collect resources? I unfortunately ran out of resources and died because I wasn't sure how to get more. Really cool nonetheless though, awesome job and lovely soundtrack!
Thank you for the feedback, yes definitely instructions and feedback on collection resources are something we need to implement in the first update. I'm glad you gave it good go and we will update this, so stay tuned! :)
I believe Joe live streamed your game last night, I'll post the link to his twitch page if you missed it :)

hey I skimmed through the stream and I couldn't find where he did my game, are you sure he played it in his stream?
I am happy to play it again if you fancy dropping by tonight. Just chuck your game link in the chat. :-)
This has gotta be the best survival/ castle defence game I have ever played! I didn't win, but I gave it my all :P Great idea, design and music. Well done guys! :)
Thank you so much! It was all down to the fantastic team we had.... Don't feel bad, I haven't either :D
Thanks for the feedback
