Pretty impressive game made in less than 72 hours. Great job!

Submitted

I really like the art and music , very good presentation

Submitted

I like the look of the art

Developer

i like the sound of the  music

Submitted

The core game mechanic of time freezing does go against the limitation, but the art was interesting and the game had a good concept.

Developer

does that mean i can make any game i want as long as time doesn't stop?

Submitted

Well, the limitation was that something has to keep moving, but because the player and the world around them are able to entirely freeze, there isn't anything that supports the limitation.

Developer

other birds will see the player jump, walk and fall, never stops

Submitted

True, but the player sees the bird stop, so I have no clue if this counts.

Developer

then why did you say it's against the limitation?

Submitted

Cause I'm pretty sure it is, since you need a mechanic that doesn't stop moving, and you technically don't have one. I don't know how the admins will rule on it, but I liked the game either way.

Developer

yeah i should make  a mechanic that literally stops time to avoid the player standing still

it's open interpretation, really

Submitted(+1)

The mechanics are interesting but I didn't enjoy them too much personally. I really like the pixel art and it feels like a lot of work was put into this game so good job.

Submitted

really good game for 3 days, great job

Submitted

good ai, cool destructible terrain, nice selection of weapons. good job, lots of enjoyment.

Submitted

Great job, art style is very clean and its fun to play!

I love the idea of everything stopping, although it seems like I don't know how to play it well. I still love the game; I love the art; it's very simple; I love how the tiles get destroyed too.

One thing I noticed is that there are a lot of bugs happening. I can't switch weapons. Sometimes it doesn't have bullets. Sometimes it does. I don't know if these are bugs, but this made me think it's hard to play for me. It's still cool though.

Developer

you probably ran out of stamina

Submitted(+1)

On browser it felt laggy although the game idea seems pretty cool. Can  you export the game natively for linux ?

Nice art-style and good concept! I liked the overall mood of the game but there are some ideas of improvments I wanted to share IMHO.

The menu part was difficult to aprehend with the inventory and so on. I thought the start of the game was about choosing a weapon for that specific run.

The main reason why is I didn't get the fact that when you don't move, the time is frozen. I thought it was a bug or a browser issue. So a quick intro on that mechanic would've been cool or something like a feedback with some UI element showing you that the time is frozen and it's normal, you have to move :)

For the controls: The aiming was confusing, I expected to use the mouse and click to fire. The movements are a bit slow paced for me. I could imagine something really more nervous.

By the way, I don't want to sound to negative because the game was cool and it must been have a challenge to do, so congrats ppl!

Submitted

Hah Nice! would liek to aim at a cursor - but this is cool, nice art and sound!

Submitted

I like the paper planes. Nice game.

Submitted

Great art and fun gameplay.

Submitted

I'm not sure if the lagging or skipping is part of the game but it was confusing :1 Other than that, good graphics, sound design, and concept!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

if it skipped after you shot a paper plane, it's a part of the game

Submitted

This could really be a great multiplayer game and the art is superb. Good job!

Developer

yeah i could do that

Submitted

Okay. This is a very weird and very cool entry. I got some mad Worms vibes, and that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

As to the central conceit and innovation of the game: It's very clever, but although I played several games I could never quite get used to it. I felt like I was always running out of stamina when I needed it the most, and when I started to wiggle back and forth... that's when a mortar shell fell right on my head. :)

The music is absolutely ROCKING. Unfortunately, the way the soundtrack stops, slows down and speeds up doesn't quite do justice to the awesome tunes. I realize this is part of the feedback, but I felt like I wanted to hear the music at its original tempo.

As a matter of UX, the inventory should provide feedback when a selection is made.

Lastly, falling off the cliff doesn't seem to be a win/lose condition; this sometimes results in unwinnable games.

Developer(+1)

you can turn off the time stopping mechanism ,the music won't slow down

Thanks! 🎶🙏

Submitted

Really nice sound design!

Developer

ikr

Thank you! 🙏

Submitted

I love the art, and the audio! I would suggest that you make aiming and shooting easier by using something like the mouse for aiming and left for firing.

Submitted

Really cool, but was quite laggy to play.

Developer

having aimbot is worth it tho
