Cute pixel and cool animations. Wish I had a little more time to explore. Also one small note ( not that it matters too much ) but diagonal movement was faster than regular which should be a simple fix. Great jam game overall!
Damn thanks for letting me know! I was sure I normalized the velocity but I just checked and it’s commented out :D No idea why I did that, must have happened at some point when I was playtesting and debugging
solid game. the only thing I would change is how much time you have for thee level, I could not find all the baby slimes in time
Yea I fell I fell into a common trap haha. I’ve heard that from several people so I think I need to work on the balancing.. I wanted to make it more difficult because I thought it was too easy and boring, good thing I didn’t.

so cute...!! the baby slimes were so adorable, my heart couldn't stand to leave a single one behind. i did feel like the pathfinding was sometimes a bit weird/they would get stuck behind stuff but they were so cute i always went back for them <3 i really like how heat/water acted as both hp and ammo, it kept things simple while also making it feel like i had to think strategically about my shots which was a lot of fun! i wished there was a way to continue the maze after hitting the end, because sometimes i accidentally walked onto the end spot before saving all the lil babies, and the only options were to go to the next level or restart completely :c but yeah loved the game all around, really polished and the controls are v satisfying!

I agree with your suggestions, I want to try working more on the exit area, so that it recognizes when the player enters and displays the number of baby slimes that are inside the exit area with them. The player will then be shown a button prompt that brings up the end screen :) would that be better?
The concept and execution were both fantastic. Unfortunately, I found that the shooting controls did not play nicely with my laptop's trackpad. I might want to give this another go if/when I get to my PC, but it's certainly a fantastic entry.

Cute slimes are always great, wouldve loved to see more variety in the levels and having to walk less in the level itself with the timer being a bit more challanging. Love it tho :D

Great game, love the art and the concept and the use of theme. would have maybe liked more puzzles, like maybe fewer water drops and you get to see the whole map so you have to plan a route, something like that. But anyway, prolly one of the top games of the jam. Good luck :)
Thank you very much! I think this could be an interesting idea, I’d love to experiment with it! The level selection screen has a very small preview of the levels, but it’s all blurry because I only had time to copy and paste screenshots of the levels.
Fun game. Enjoyed going through it a lot. My suggestion would be to make it so that you only have to hit things once to destroy/save them to prevent you from standing still for as long. Maybe make the timer shorter and have less shots to compensate. Overall great entry!

I tried to collect all the baby slims but I lost one in the last level 😔
The game is great I did enjoy playing it, however, the collision needs some work other than that the game was awesome

rather than have the gun point to a specific place just add a line that will indicate it will shoot there
i love the concept of your attack also hurting you,the baby slimes pathfinding could use some work and if multiple obstacles are broken at the same time the noise is really loud. the slimes are cute too
Thank you for the encouraging feedback, I will try to fix these issues in an update once the rating period is over! If I figure out how to make pathfinding work I might even add enemies!
Overall, the game is very fun to play, but the time available is very short for large stages. If you increase the time, it will improve a lot

Balancing the game was tricky because i was running out of time, and I thought it helped that the maze only falls apart one tile at a time when once the timer runs out. I will increase the time by a few seconds when I update the game, or maybe I will add an easier mode!
Really fun everything was great my only issue is that slimes kept getting stuck behind and i had to waste time getting them unstuck. It does make it harder though so great job overall
The truth is that it doesn’t matter if you don’t bring them with you to the exit :D I didn’t have enough time to figure out how to make the game recognize it, so if you got them all end enter the exit without them, it will still say you saved them :P I know it’s basically cheating but I was just counting on people not being mean and leaving them behind. But thanks for the feedback, maybe next time I can try to implement path finding or something to make it less annoying
