A very cool golf game! Although not a golfer irl, I am a sucker for golf games! I love the clean visual style and minimalist sound design! However, I had some trouble aiming and hitting the ball as I couldn't really line up the shot or get the right "power", and thus got stuck on the first hole. I'm not sure if it was a bug or just my bad skills though haha. However, an awesome game for the jam!
Amazing game. An exit button would've been nice, but, otherwise, 10/10
I really nice game! The graphics and sound were amazing and it was really original and fun! It was a bit too frustrating to me though. I ran into some bugs where the ball wouldn't aim towards my cursor, making me take up to 10 or so extra shots trying to correct it. The ball going airborne was a bit annoying too, as it meant I had to take several tiny shots if I wanted to make it under a windmill or through a tunnel. The levels were beautifully crafted, and overall, it was a really good experience, great job!
If you have time, maybe consider checking out my game too.
Very relaxing :) I wish there was no slomo and you could just scale the ball faster though, it got old seeing the ball in slomo every shot.
Sound was great and the different obstacles were so enjoyable to interact with :D
Thanks Cameron pal :)
Lovely golf game here, but I really struggled with it. Most of the time I was taking tiny shots because any shot that was larger would send my ball airborne which made it hard to get through tunnels and gaps on the ground when I was close to them. And the only time I changed my size was to go big for the walls, otherwise I just stayed small the entire time. By itself it's great, but it's a golf game first and a "size matters" game second. Just wished you had played more into the changing the ball size as I spent a couple of levels having completely forgotten that was a thing. But graphics were amazing and sound really set the atmosphere. Good job!
Thanks ollie! We added the fans too to allow for the small ball to add an impact and also the bigger the ball the sturdier the shot. I agree on what you are saying though. I think we should of spent more time playing with existing features than cramming in more. Thanks for the feedback :)
This is hands down one of the best games I have tried in this jam. Love the art style and the way the game plays as well. Minimal controls and easy to pickup. The game was a bit laggy during the the tutorial but after that it was all smooth sailing. Well done, really enjoyed it.
The graphics are awesome, beautiful game. Controls are difficult but overall great fun to play. Great entry, well done.
Thanks man :)
BRILLIANT GRAPHICS SOUNDS AND COOL!!!!
This game legitimately cured my depression. My therapist said she will start recommending this to other patients. For real though, amazing work. Very impressed and I can't imagine how hard you all must have worked for the 3 days. Great job guys!!!
Interesting game, did feel a bit frustrating at times as of controls. It surely is fascinating that this level of completion was reached in three days, mind blowing even. Good job and congratulations on this.
noice overall. Still need some camera inprovement but works good enough :)
I think this is it. This is just the best game of the game jam. I'm completely blown away by the quality of this, it feels like a full game. It does feel a bit buggy from time to time, but with a project as big as this being made in 3 days, that's bound to happen. This game is amazing!
I wish we could’ve ironed out the bugs lol. We didn’t have too much time at the end of the jam for bugfixing as I was busy on UI and customisations and the itch page while everyone else playtested. The biggest bug we found was found 7 mins before the jam ended so we definitely cut things short. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
So u made this in 3 days, huh. it's alright i guess, nothing special at all. I'm definitely not extremely impressed and i super definitely am not uninstalling unity right now. jk man just wow this almost feels like a full steam game, double plus great job.
3 days with 4 hours sleep. It was also made by a team of 4. My sleep schedule is messed up beyond comprehension lol. Thanks for enjoying it
so your advice is: quit sleep and kidnap 3 people, noted. These are the things they dont teach you at school, thanks broji
I failed to mention stealing your local stores supply of monster energy before the jam. 16 should do it.
pffft amateur. Only extra-lead high-octane tractor fuel does it for me, mix it with some Soviet antifreeze and you got yourself a stew going, baby.
Real nice game, good fun, though the camera angles were annoying a lot of the time. Would be nice if we could move the camera a little bit more freely, zoom in and out on the ball, and rotate around the ball at smaller increments
The graphics were good, and the customization was cool. However, the slow motion effect made the game feel sluggish. I actually thought the game had performance issues! I also couldn't help but be disappointed every time I bounced off an invisible wall. Making the wall visible would be an improvement. Also, it seems like the ball can get stuck in the hit state for a prolonged about of time after stopping. I think if you tighten up the controls and pacing, you'd have an excellent game.
100% agree. The slow-mo affect was poorly executed to be honest. We left playtesting wayyy too late and didn't realise wbgl would cause so many issues lol.
Atmosphere and feel are incredibly done! As other have said feels a bit slow or like I'm hitting the ball through goo lol. But really enjoyable & relaxing. Great work for only 72 hours!
Tried to add slow-mo in the air lol. Probably could've been better executed :P Thanks for the feedback :)
If it was slow-mo then that makes sense! Fantastic work none the less haha.
Clever name! The game can be a bit slow but also very strategic. The art is really nicely stylized and the UI is well done. I expected the size of the ball affected it's movement more because I wanted the small ball to fly more than large one. Thanks for creating it and great job!
The graphics are incredibly fancy! I struggled a bit to play, I found the controls a bit sloppy and the ball too slow even on max charge, but it surprises me that you guys even had time to make a ball customization lol
Really cool, had trouble at the start and had a few odd camera angles, but this was a really original idea and a great execution. Making a game like this is hard in 3 days, even with a team.
i didnt see the ball at the beginning but that's because i'm dumb and I loved the ball's hat that's so fucking adorable, such a pretty game
