Really awesome art and tonnes of content, player movement needed some tweaking, but super great game all round! Be proud guys! <3

Thanks Kaniel! We are goign to develop and improve the game focusing more on camera work and player movement. Cheers!

Great game here! Looked amazing, and sounded amazing too. Gameplay was fun, but a bit flawed. The wall jump was nice but probably caused more problems by including it, for example jumping next to a little ledge on the ground would classify as a wall jump. Plus that quick corridor run was very frustrating, I managed to make it to the boss but gave up after a few tries at that. I understand why you had the view obstructed for atmosphere and the theme, but it doesn't suit the quick gameplay action that parts of this game requires. For example, if your boss battle requires you to run away while avoiding danger, making the player only see what's near them makes it 10x more difficult than it needs to be. Refine the movement and re-evaluate the type of gameplay you want and I definitely think you could add more content to make this game a full commercial release. Great job all of you!

Thanks Olly. We really appreciate this kind of feedback where we can get actually the right inspiration to improve the game! Cheers!

Really nice job guys! The only thing was that the camera moved a little too fast going from one direction to another. Maybe make it smoother.

Submitted(+1)

Really cool. It plays really well and the art is fantastic.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! Glad you enjoyed it :D!

Submitted(+1)

that was amazing! I dont know what else to say haha. Beautiful, great sounds, great story. What a pleasure to play!

(Though the camera snapping left and right is a bit annoying to play with)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind words, it means so much! We do intend on fixing the camera as soon as the the ratings are over (and potentially adding some more to the game). Thank you once again for playing!!!

amazing game ! finaly a submitted game with quick and responsive controls ! some time the wall jump feels a little weird  but overall it's a blast !
great art, great sound. some time a little hard, but in a die and retry that's what you'd expect

would suggest to add another input to "shoot" a ball of light. just so you could play only with keyboard :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback, we are glad you enjoyed playing! None of us thought about the only keyboard idea but a good idea to add after the jam ends. Also, I realized using space on walls was buggy, so its something else we need to work on fixing haha, but if you use W as your primary jump key it works much better. Anyway, thank you so much for playing once again!

Like others have stated, the art is fantastic. The controls were not well explained and the jumping feels clunky. I like the concept and would to see where this project goes.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We definitely want to rework this once the judging period is over and get it smooth...maybe even add onto it in the future haha. Thanks once again, the feedback means so much!

Can’t fault the art, definitely one of the best looking games in the jam. The gameplay at times was a bit underwhelming! Maybe an in depth tutorial to get the ball rolling would be nice? Awesome job man!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the compliment! Working on the movement & adding a few things are definitely something we are looking at post jam for sure. As far as underwhelming content I can see where that is coming from! If we keep working on this I would love to add some things we talked about at the start of the jam but didn't have quite enough time to get to. Thank you once again, playing & leaving some ideas / feedback, all very much appreciated!

Keep at it man, This game and especially artstyle are just beautiful!

The game is really pretty! Graphics and overall atmosphere is definitely the highlight of this game. The controls, on the other hand, could really be improved. When you turn around and jump, the camera shouldn't swing around so quickly, it should move at a gradual pace instead. Also, when I'm on the ground and I'm next to a wall or a ledge, my character will walljump. He should only walljump if there's no ground below him. Most of the difficulty in this game came from struggling with the controls.

Other than that though, I really liked exploring the world and seeing what was there to discover. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the feedback! We definitely want to go back and do something about the controls once judging period is over so its a bit more playable. We found using WASD only and not space helps a bit. We also agree that the camera swing is a bit rough & jumpy compared to something smooth, but something we can't edit just yet haha even though we would love too.

I really liked how you implemented the theme. Great idea! Also the way you can control your shots felt great :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! Glad you enjoyed playing!

I must say that the combination of graphic design and sound design create a great atmosphere together! Despite how the camera works, I played this game with pleasure. Although at some moments it was quite difficult and I did not always know what to do.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the atmosphere & what we were trying to accomplish haha. We do want to rework the cam / controls a bit eventually. But for now as long as it works we are happy haha! Thanks for playing!

Aesthetically, this game is amazing! The visuals, audio, lighting, and the way location names fade in remind me a lot of Hollow Knight, one of my favorite games, and the story is just begging to be expanded upon.  The platforming and movement are a bit rough, but I'm sure they can be improved. Overall,  beautiful, and I hope you continue to work on it!

Submitted(+1)

Also, on the note of platforming, this made the difficulty less rewarding, and a bit more frustrating. That's really the only complaint though!

Developer(+1)

We really appreciate the feedback! We all discussed it after the fact that controls can be smoothed out & edited some. Once the jam is over  we are considering going deeper into this and making it into something further thought out...or at least making what is playable currently a bit smoother. But we are so glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and overall feel of what we were aiming for haha! Thanks again for your time playing it :D!

I love the art of this game, but the camera follows the player a bit too hard. Whenever I turn, the camera jumps around, making it difficult to play the game properly. Other than that, it's a good game! I really like it.

Developer(+2)

I agree! Might get changed once jam ends. But thank you for feedback! Once you get playing a little bit you get used to it. But it is jarring to start haha! I appreciate you taking some time to play it!

Submitted(+1)

I keep coming back to this based on the art alone, the controls are a bit floaty I guess but everything else makes up for it, please keep working on it, light based puzzles are always cool

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We are about to post update with some bug fixes, and help with controls a bit! I actually got through the whole thing on the new version haha!!
