Really well made game! I really liked the music, the graphics and the game play! Sometimes the physics get a little bit weird, but overall it's a very nice game.
Thanks so much! I haven't played around with physics too much, especially in gamemaker, sorry about that. Here's some fanart of your game in appreciation for your rating!
Haha! Thanks.
INCREDIBLE gameplay design. The puzzles were well thought out and satisfying to solve. then i shrunk the mirror and got the bad ending :(
You killed it, 5 stars from me
Thank you so much! This is the first game I've really tried to DO level design, and I'm glad to hear you liked it. And don't worry about the "bad" ending, neither ending has our little alien friend sipping cocktails by the beach-side. Have some complementary fanart for your game!
Really had fun playing this game. Not gonna lie took me some time to complete the companion mushroom level because I am a dum dum. Other than that the music was really good. I also liked the fact that the game had a story to it as to who the player character was and why they were there. Even though it dose not end well for the player there still is an ending which makes this almost like a complete game. Most importantly as the theme suggested size did matter in this game.
Thank you for the feedback! I really loved making it. As for the ending, I wonder what would happen if you tried to shrink the mirror... hm...
Anyway, here's some fanart of your game!
I just replayed the game to shrink the mirror and holy shiiit!!! Well done, I never thought of doing that during my playthrough. This game just keeps on giving.
Fun little game. I liked the use of shrinking and growing specific objects to get pass the level. I had to really think hard in the companion shroom level . It was overall a nice package. Sucks I'm forever on the run in the end haha
Thanks for the feedback and for playing to completion! It's really great to hear from people who had a good time. Here's some fanart of your game!
I really liked the ammo system, it makes you really think how to use your shots wisely. The dialogue is fun to read and the art is charming! I also like how you gradually introduce new mechanics as you progress. Great entry overall!
I feel the ammo system is really what brings it all together. It wouldn't feel like as much of a puzzle without it. Thank you for playing, and here's some fanart!
really fun game I enjoyed it, good graphics, good sound I just think it misses a button to retry when you get stuck on certain levels and a bit of clarity on the controls had to figure them out by myself
You actually can restart with "R" but I should have put that somewhere more clearly. In fact I'll be sure to have an instructions page in mind next time! Thanks for the feedback, and here's some art of your game!
Thanks, man! wow, blob hit the gym uh?
came here from the stream, nice puzzling.
Thanks! I'm so glad mine got featured! Here, have some fanart.
Great Game!Good Pixel art and some really good sound effects!I liked how you gradually introduced the mechanics, and the levels were well designed to execute the mechanics!I enjoyed my time with it!
Thank you for the compliments! Here's some fanart!
Haha!Thamks!
Really fun to play, nice character animations and great soundtrack! Some observations for you to improve your game: pushing a box against a mushroom to press them against the wall should kill them (it just glitches now); you should implement coyote time (google it); you get stuck to the box if you're near it when it grows; the spider stopping to move when you shrink it was on purpose?; bullet hitbox is too large, so it hits the ground quite often when trying to shoot down from corners; pause menus for a standalone game is desirable. Anyways, you made a great job.
Thank you for the detailed feedback! A lot of these are certainly glitches I knew about, I was just too focused on building the game up to fix. I already knew about Coyote Time, but it completely slipped my mind! I already shrunk the bullet hitbox, and was afraid if I went any smaller, it would be hard to hit things you WANT to shrink, so I'll probably have to come up with a better solution. And a pause menu would certainly be helpful. Once again, thank you so much!
You're welcome. One thing you can do is create two colliders, one smaller that can interact with the floor and one bigger that will count to hit the targets.
Here's some art!
I like the audio
Thanks! i'm quite proud of it, here's some fanart!
Thanks for the fanart :)
In appreciation for all of you who rated my game, (and to maybe boost some interest in it too) I will be making some (bad) fan art of your games!
Fantastic game. The art is beautiful and the level design is perfect! Amazing work :)
You are too kind! Here, have some fanart!
OMG this is AMAZING thank you so much :DD
Really like the pixel art. The music is great along with the sound effects. The design is pretty good and progressively gets more difficult. Thanks for creating it!
Thank you so much for trying it out! I'm glad you liked it! Here's some complementary Fanart!
why is this making me nostalgic, the art is just phenomenal idk what it reminds me of but i love it, i quit early cuz i can see you put a lot of effort into the art and humor and i wanna enjoy the whole thing undistracted so all i can say right now is that the movement is nice and snappy and even though it's too early to tell this may be my favourite game in this jam, will give you more thoughts when i finish it
Thank you, my sausag-jitsu sensei. *bows*
Fanart of the fabled sausage warrior!
HAHAHAHAH i love this so fucking much, you just earned yourself a seat at the sausage writers table which now includes you, me and a sack of mystery meat with a smily painted on called jibothy (just call him jib don't be awkward). Together gentlemen we will take over everything that walks on land, sea or meat. Congratis.
btw i'm stuck on lvl5 and i just hate hector that capitalist scum, but i will overcome...heh
Yeah... Level 5 seems so be a bit tricky. You have to make the spiders big to duck under them, which is intuitive to ME, but of course... I made it... so...
Anyway me and Jib will start working on those world domination plans right away!
yeah that was hilarious DUCK, nah that part was clear it's the level after that then the one with the race, that was just sadistic. Godspeed gentlemen, we'll make the big sausage in the sky proud.
The movement is so smooth! And the shrink/grow ray is very intuitive, nice puzzle game!
Thanks! I honestly thought the movement was a bit too clunky. Glad to hear it wasn't much of a problem!
Hamster War, 2020, colorized. (Fanart!)
I love it! The mechanics are great! Thanks:,D. If you have time you can check my game :,)
Thank you! I checked your game out and I think its good!
Some no-nonsense, message-spreading, fanart!
Wow!
I am very grateful that the message was spread :,D
Can I share it please?
Sure!
Thanks bro! :,D
This was a really fun playthrough! I absolutely adore Hector. All around really good, very fun to play. Great job!
Thank you! Hector thanks you too. I'll be sure to get around to your game sometime soon!
Spooky Art!
Aaaa I love it! Thank you so much!
i had lots of fun playing your game.
I love the story, it made me smile when playing! Sprites are simple but clear and I immediately knew what was going on. Congrats on the submission, this is one of my favourites so far.
That's so nice to hear! This is some of my best spritework, and I am very proud of it.
Special delivery! Fanart!
Wow!!! this is so amazing. It means a lot for me and it makes me really happy to see.
Thanks a lot!
No problem!
Great game!
You came up with a great way of using the theme!
I like the smooth camera movement.
I love that you added a lot of levels compared to other game jam games, Most usually have 3 - 5.
Thanks man! I got the camera movement from Shaun Spalding's videos, which I would highly recommend for someone using gamemaker, such as yourself.
I'll check them out!
And some fanart for you!
