I had to read it three times until I got how time works, but then it was a lot of fun!

Developer (1 edit)

Lol, why it's confusing, i'm sorry :D

Thanks!

I like that you reversed the mechanics of SuperHOT, but I don't think that has helped you out here. Having to shoot whilst moving is very difficult, especially when the enemies don't have very large hitboxes, and so I was left trying to shoot them when I was staying still anyway. I liked the visuals and audio, but to be honest I wasn't a fan of the gameplay.

Developer

Thanks for a feedback! Yes, it's hard to shoot, but aimed shooting makes you stop.

If not for the comments, I would not have learned about this character.

Really good concept! I would like to see it being further developed, although some tweaking to the time flow would be great, you can just beat the game while moving around because it never really stops stops.

Great prototype! I had a lot of fun :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm already thinking about new mechanics that could improve the gameplay. (In the original idea, time should not stop completely, although I will think about your remark)

Aw man this makes me think you could make a game about quicksilver, where you have to save multiple things at once in this manner. I wish there were more content, but I definitely understand how coding this would have taken enough time as it is.

Developer

Thanks!

I would like to continue working on the idea further and definitely fill the game with content! But for now i need to pass some exams...

What about quicksilver, you mean how quickly it spreads?

Submitted

I meant the x man, like flash

Developer

Okay, i watched a scene from X-men and now i understand who is Quicksilver :D

This is a lot of fun. I always wondered what it would be like if you made the opposite of SuperHOT, and turns out, It's a lot of fun. Great Job.

Developer

Thanks for a feedback! I think if I had not started participating in this jam, I would not have started making this game.

This was amazing!! It's a really good take on the theme, I love it! This is such a clever idea!

Developer

Thanks for a feedback!

Wow this was really well done and a perfect fit for this theme

cool game! (no pun intended), The sounds worked weirdly perfect, though the background music was pretty repetitive.  Took me a minute to understand the slowing down mechanic, but didn't take me too long! Hope you expand on this in the future!

I'd appreciate it if you could play/rate my game as well! :)

Developer

Thanks! Yes, if you don't know the time slowing mechanic game in the beginning it can be a little hard to accept.

(I don't have much time right now because of my studies, but I will definitely try!)

Submitted(+1)

Neat idea, I think this could make for very interesting levels if you continue working on levels which force the player to utilize the time slow mechanic in creative ways. I like the low poly style of the surroundings and weapons, and the sound design works well with the game. Nice work overall!

Developer

Thanks! I'm already thinking about new levels and ways to stop the player.

Really cold game! One thing bothers me - mouse sensitivity is way too high for me for some reason. But other than that a cool game!

Developer

Thanks! You are not the first to encounter high sensitivity. In the future, i will need to add an option to adjust the mouse sensitivity.

The main things that would've improved this game are audiovisual feedback when damaging enemies (I can barely tell when my bullets hit something), and health and ammo indicators

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Yes, I agree, the audiovisual of the hits on the opponents needs to be corrected. If I continue to work on the game, I will definitely take it into account!

I disagree about the health indicator, since the player, in fact, has 1 hp and dies from any damage (as intended).

Ammo indicator - I don't really want to make one. In life, you cannot find out how many bullets without pulling out the store, right? Unless an empty pistol (machine gun, shotgun, etc.) may look different.

Submitted(+1)

Fair enough. I didn't realize when I was playing that I only had 1 health

Submitted(+1)

That's cold! That's cold!

pretty interesting game not gonna lie. I mean, the game would need a way to win and more polish, but the mechanic is really good and, if used correctly, could have become a really good game.  Being constantly moving to avoid being shot is a really cool mechanic!

If the enemies or the level design were made in a way to try and get the player to stop, in some way, and that there was a reason for the player to slow down, I think the game would be awesome.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! It's good to hear both positive emotions and negative about the game. I already began to think about how and what levels could be in the game. Unless that I have the troubles with enemies. But i have a couple of ideas, but I think it's worth implementing first, and then talking about them.

Omg is that FAT SHAMING JKs? alright, no

Well, it evry thing from Hot game and flips it.

It is not fun, it doesnt even work as a padory, not because its mechanic, but because of it doesnt tries to be its own game. Just think, mark, it litterally reminds me of the Justice League Flash scenes, the game could be as cinematic as Hot game, and still be a good padory, it just needs the right situations

Developer

Not sure if I fully understood your comment (English is not my first language). I can agree - the game needs its own situations and if I continue to work, I will need to come up with interesting situations. (I hope this was the meaning of this comment)

Submitted(+1)

Yes, situations that adapt to Super Cold mechanics, not situations that adapt to Super Hot. Sorry, i love writing a lot and horribly!

I'd love to see how it progress! Good luck

Submitted(+2)

This was really *cool* xD  (sorry couldn't resist the pun)  Great job on this!! :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks you!

Submitted(+1)

I think the idea is there but the execution feels off, great game but it just needs more overall polish

Developer(+1)

Thanks! When there is more free time, I would like to continue working on the game.

Submitted(+1)

clever idea and good realisation, but it's short and unfinished

Developer

Thank you! I would say the game is very short. And of course, it is far from complete.
