Awesome artwork. I managed to get 6 goals in the timed game mode, and it was fun when I got the feel of it enough to get a few in a row. I didn't find a way to exit the practice mode and had to reload the page. I'd recommend putting your controls not just in the game but in the game's itch page as well for easy access. Amazing job!!

Awesome job! Was pretty fun to play. However the jump was a bit weak and floaty.

The art and SFX are really great, with an awsome concept and a fun gameplay! Great work!

Developer

Thank you for playing, I'm glad you had fun!

I liked this more than I was expecting to! It felt surprisingly satisfying to score. Art and music really come together too!

Developer

That's awesome to hear, thank you very much for playing! The scoring being fun honestly feels like a happy accident with how well it came out lol

Art, music, sfx and mechanics, everything fits together. The execution is great and on top of that, it's original, gj!

Developer

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed your time with it!

Add a few more mechanics and a bit more polish and you got yourself a Lethal league style game that could be very addicting.  and give them people a funky beat. great job!

Developer(+1)

THAT'S WHERE THE FUNKY BEATS SONG IS FROM!? I'm checking it out immediately lmao, and I've got some ideas for future development and polish, and now I have another influence I can steal borrow from. Thank you for playing and I hope you had fun!

Funny idea :D The song was really catchy. it reminded me somehow of Civilization 3 ancient era music

Great game.

Developer

I'm glad you had fun! And I'm honored that my attempt at music could remind you of Civ 3 😅 thank you!

Everything about this game is great! I just need to try playing it against someone else. I'm pretty sure I'd win, I spent a lot of time in the Practice area learning the best angles to shoot from. On a base level, the game play is fun, I had a blast just trying to get better at shooting. The goal is tricky to get through but you can start to hit it regularly. My record was 3 scores in a row (got 2 in a row a bunch).

So gameplay is a hit, and obviously the aesthetic and influences you chose are great and really make this stand out. Super cool!

Thank you very much, I'm glad you had fun! If I knew anything at all about online multiplayer I'd like to add that at some point, but that's a whole can of worms I'm scared to even touch so local only for rn sadly lol

Off the charts vibes. Found myself wishing the hoop was a _little_ bigger, but that's probably just a skill issue on my part :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah the hoop's meant to be just frustratingly big enough lol, but you did give me the idea to add difficulty options in the future that change the hoop size 🤔

Thank you for introducing me to this sport, and awesome job with the art style!

Developer

Thank you, and that's awesome to hear I'm glad I could introduce you to it!

I would never have thought that someone gonna make game about aztec ball game very clever 😁Nice and fun to play, even have 2 players option.

Developer

Thank you! I was worried I wouldn't be able to translate it into a game well enough lol, I'm glad you had fun!

I thought that the ball would be total chaos, but once I got the hang of it, I was surprised just how much control I had.  It is very satisfying to play!  The music is nice, though repetitive, especially as I spent a while playing.  My high score for the timed challenge is 12, which I encourage anyone to try and beat!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad you had fun! (and for beating my high score of 10 lol) I genuinely struggled with getting the music to where I wanted it to be and I agree that it's too repetitive, but that also means it's something I can improve on for the future

probably my favourite looking game from this jam! the game itself was also pretty fun, really well done overall :)

Developer

Thank you I'm so glad to hear that, and I'm happy you had fun with it!

Cute concept, Artstyle is super unique and its really satisfying to hit the target, nice job!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you had fun with it!

very fun concept and game!! loved the art style, and it was super satisfying managing to score. is there a trick that i was missing to aiming the ball? i didn't feel like i had much control over where it was going. great job nonetheless!!

Developer(+1)

Than you and I'm glad you enjoyed it! There is and isn't a trick, which is one of my regrets with it, not adding more movement and strike options. There is a fair amount of randomness due to the bouncing, but the most consistent for me has been to try hitting it into the floor near the corners so it sorta rebounds and arcs through the hoop. Still though I do have more ideas I want to add and hopefully make the play more interesting!

Submitted(+1)

I always wondered how hard it would be to hit that ball through that hoop way up there just using my hips, and now I know.  I had a real Gamer Moment where I hadn't scored at all in timed mode, but managed to get 3 balls through in the last 10 seconds.  Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Oh yeah it's really difficult (and they get insane bruises from it too!), thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you had fun!

Submitted(+1)

I love the music and art! Not even sure what I like more)) And they fit so well together. The game is fun and challenging, definitely lots of chaos, I have no idea how to intentionally make the ball go through the loop, in my case it's always just luck)

Developer

Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I was struggling with the music at the end but I'm glad I managed to pull through on it. I do agree that it's too luck based right now without lots of waiting, so I do plan on adding more movement options in any potential updates

Simple but very well executed. Getting into the rhythm of it was really fun : )

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Absolutely loved this theme. Getting a chance to play the sport (even if only virtually) was absolutely radical. Please make more Aztec themed games! You nailed it.

Developer(+1)

I appreciate that very much! I've ben wanting to try this idea out for a while, and I'm glad it turned out so well. I do have more ideas in the backlog that I'm excited to make and I hope they're at least as fun as this was!

Submitted(+1)

Simple but it's crazy how much fun can a game like that bring, also the versus mode is a great addition!

Developer

Oh yeah I was a bit worried when I started that the idea would be too barebones, so I'm very glad it worked out like it did! And thank you, I knew I couldn't make a game based on a competitive sport without at least including a versus mode
