Game Description
I didn't have as much time to work on this one as I would have liked, but I ended up with something! It definitely at least resembles a video game. :L Left click to select a creature. Right click to move it and tell it to mine stuff. Mine stuff to make money. Bored of your colony? Buy a new one!

This is a really interesting concept! I actually really loved the art style, the simplistic black and white gives it a really cool vibe. And once I figured out what I was doing, I found it kind of fun to manage these, things, and make them destroy mountains and waves.

I don't know what these creatures are but the fact that they eat by destroying mountains is super interesting. I also loved the names for the different status, and how panicked they get. It's satisfying to clear the whole screen.

Introducing the mechanics in the menu is a super clever idea and I loved that.

My problems were that, at the beginning of the game, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know that I could move the camera with WASD, and where my camera first was no mountains spawned, so I didn't know what the waves were. I didn't know how I was supposed to feed my guys. I think that could have been explained or demonstrated a little better. I don't like the idea of a flat out tutorial cause that doesn't feel like this games vibe, but something cool like how you did it in the menu.

Also, not entirely sure how it fits into "You are not the hero". Is it because we aren't the creatures?

Good job!

This was so cool, did you miss to enter the “Fully Immersed” wildcard? Because the menus were fully immersed.

I like how the mechanics were introduced with the menu. The concept of having to maintain my minions alive through devouring the place was fun.

Although I had not idea what I was doing other than making them go to places. Some of the mining sites were off screen for some reason. Which meant I could not send to to eat. Also, I was not sure what each mining site did. If they gave water or food. Maybe a label for each site would have helped.

Awesome concept! Love the simple art style and unique game mechanics. I felt a little sorry for my miners, since all of them starved to death!

Was not able to play it completely because of the screen cut in half, maybe because of my monitors screen resolution. Though I got to say I was hooked when you can control the characters like a real time strategy type, That was pretty awesome.

I'm sure this is a fun game but sadly i was not able to play too long, loved the simplicity of the game.

Congrats on your submission!!!

I didn't know what I was doing, but it definitively has style. :D

For some reason the progress bar with the total money count was cut on the right in my screen.

THAT WAS SO COOl. TBH I had no clue what I was doing for like 4 minutes but after a bit, I can see how that would be addictive, I wish there was more impact when creatures died, like maybe a noise, or I would lose some money if a creature died would have been a nice touch.

I loved how you introduced the players to the game mechanics, the gameplay was weird, but enyoable for some time

Absolutely no idea what was happening in the game. At some point the little things earned some money, no idea how! The main menu stumped me for a while too. I assume that was the wildcard. Not sure how well that worked though!

I like the art style, and the simplistic music works surprisingly well imo.

Don't quite understand the overall concept but they are cute :)

I was a bit lost, but then everyone started dying and just sent thirsty people to the waves and hungry people to the mountains. I started gaining money but then everyone did die.

Had a lot of fun with the chaos. It's a great concept!

For the first moment I didn't know what to do, but then after understanding it was fun to manage the colonists.

I liked the atmosphere of the game, but I have to admit I'm not sure about what I need to do ; there are waves; which probably means mining them make them drink, but had a hard time finding where to eat ? I first thought you had to eat your workers but I'm not sure it did anything.

The audio and overall aesthetics do give something special to this game though.

Congratulations for your submission !

Developer

Thanks for playing! :D Despite it not really being food, they do eat the rocks that should also be spawning.

Couldn’t sell my food 0/10

Joke aside, I kinda like the mood in this game ? The music + the weird tone + AMOGUS make for a lil weird but funny experience.
