Fun game: the music was really nice, the overworld music was some peaceful :) ... I liked the light and shadows in the dungeons and main character animation.

Cool game. I like the added difficulty level of the caves. I got zero collectables at the end though so I must have missed those!
I didn't get the fact that it was lava until I read the comments but that didn't spoil the fun. Not knowing what it was made it even more interesting. This part really made me think about when to kill those enemies :-) The only drawback is that 'learning' this is quite expensive since you lose life. Maybe you can play the hurt effect the first time without actually taking life.
Overall quite varied and I had great fun playing it until the end!
Thanks for the comments and feedback!
Unfortunately, the collectables count at the end is just borked, and we didn't realize until the submission time was over lol. You can view your collectables (they are the regular books you pick up while exploring the map) at any time by pressing Tab or I think Start on gamepad to show your inventory.
Great pixel art and music! Navigating was a little difficult but gameplay was satisfying :)
Very enjoyable! Lovely art and atmosphere! But I couldn't finish the game. To the upper right of the starting area there is an area with lots of rocks and I wouldn't fit through the path below by maybe one or two pixels:
Pretty nice experience! I liked the pixel art a lot and the overall map layout. Maybe some shortcuts would have been nice, but that's just nitpicking! The only weird thing I noticed was in the fire cave: is the player supposed to be able to walk everywhere? I also liked the soundtrack, although the damage sound effect could maybe be a bit less loud.
Overall a very good job, well done! Nice feeling of exploration, I got 30 tiny books in about 16 mins I think? I died once in the fire cave, not sure how, but I think I wasn't supposed to walk on the light part of the map.
Cute game! I liked how simple some sprites were while still managing to look cute.
I struggled with the combat, specially in the caves. It was a bit frustrating, since I had full health and suddenly I was at the start without knowing what killed me. However, I'm pretty bad at skill-based games in general, so maybe it was me!
Very relaxing indeed, the music is nice and chill, and i liked the spritework and the lighting effects.
The "firecaves" were a bit trippy and odd (died e few times here but didn't understood what hit me) and the aiming a bit hard to lineup.
Other than the small issues i mentioned it's a solid experience, managed to get all 3 elemental books back to the shrine and had a good time, i also like that if you die you keep whatever questbook you already picked up so you don't have to do the full game in one sitting.
Good job to you guys ! :)
Lovely art and nice music. But it was hard to line up shots with the enemies and it was outright impossible in one of the caves due to enemy shots being invisible. Really liked the exploration aspect though.
EDIT: Afterwards I learned that the wall was lava and it was damaging me, not invisible enemies. My bad.
Very cool! Nice map design, colors, music and effects! Fun to explore and find things!
