Nice game! The atmosphere was very fitting with the music and the lightning. I had a little trouble with the enemies, specially in one level where it saw me just after spawning and then it just camped out in front of the spawn point, so there was no way to sneak past it. Or maybe I didn't understand what I should do then...

Developer

Thanks !

I suppose you were stuck in the level right after you got the light. You cannot go past the ennemy if you don’t turn off the light first, it is supposed to demonstrate how the ennemy react to the light spell (they see you from further away with the lights on).

I loved this game mechanic, i just think that i outrun the enemy too fast so it is a little difficult to lure him away but other than that it was a great game :D

Cool game concept, i like the stealth mechanics, my only negative points is that it' a bit hard to quickly change direction with the mouse controls you put, i feel some more traditional movement type or a wasd + mouse setup could fix this issue.

Other than that it's got some nice atmosphere, i like the dynamic lighting effects you used :)

Thanks ! The godot lightning system is great, more people should use it.

Yeah it sure seems like it haven't tried it myself yet, but i might seeing what people can acheive with it,  looks nice :)

I like the graphics and lightning! I would love to see a somewhat eerie soundtrack added to the game, that would give it an incredible tense atmosphere!! Because the mice can be quite scary..

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks ! Unfortunately I didn’t find a “free/open license” soundtrack that matched well with this game. (Don’t mind the two deleted comment itch io kinda bugged on me.)

Have look at these, maybe there's something you would find fitting:

I love Kevin MacLeod’s stuff, many thanks for the link !

Nice game! I always have a big weak spot for stealth based games and this did the trick for me! I wish controls were a bit better (see below comments) but otherwise very good submission to the jam and the only stealth mechanic I have seen!

Developer

Thanks !

I suppose the best way to fix the controls is to allow the movement with the key or the mouse if you wish, so you can choose which one you want.

Gamepad support would also be superb :)

Developer

Indeed, the control should match well. I need to remember that.

It's a good game, I like the graphics and sounds, the gameplay is fun too. But the controls are kind of annoying and make it much harder to progress in the game.

Developer

Thanks for the details ! Can I ask what was the most annoying part in the control for you ?

The character always looks at the mouse cursor, this system is great for story based games, but for games like this that depend a lot on moving fast and accurate, it's troublesome. It would be better if the character moved using WASD buttons and rotated using the mouse, but you would get a speed boost if you were walking in the direction you were facing.

Fun! I like the stealth mechanic. Good job!

Developer

Thanks ! I didn’t know if the stealth was too simple so I’m happy to see people enjoyed it.
