I like that you have to decide if you want to use your jam for shooting or regenerating life.

Well done!

Developer

Thank you! One of the first design challenges I had was how to allow the player to heal themselves, and for it to use up jam was the first thing I thought of.

Wow!! Very polished - loved the art, movement, simplicity and style. <3

Thanks! I tried keeping the game simple so that I would have enough time for playtesting, however I ended up cramming too many things into the final boss, which I'm still a little upset at myself for. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback!

Amazing graphics and design! I'd suggest maybe adding some sort of notification which doors the player opens (maybe some sort of arrow?)

Also - great use of RichText effects in the intro.

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely should have made it clearer to the player which way to head, that was one of the problems I wished I had caught and fixed sooner.

Very cool, got a bit lost sometimes, but otherwise great :)

Developer

Thanks! And yes, a problem that I wished I found sooner was the lack of indication on which way the player was supposed to go next. I'm glad you enjoyed it anyways though.

I had a blast, especially when I realized you could outrun the grapes and tomatoes. The melee giving jam was a nice touch as well, made strategizing reloading the jaminator really interesting.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, for me, when I was playtesting the game, I felt it was more enjoyable trying to dodge the enemies rather than fighting every single one of them. I am still unsure whether leaving it like that was the best decision or not, but I liked it enough to keep the enemies as they are.

I could see this being a fun little time-based game. Running around shooting the switches, managing your juice. Very fun.

That was a great game, charming and fun. Loved the graphics and the general theme.

Developer

Thanks, right back at you! Your game was one the first ones I played from this jam, and it was pretty enjoyable as well.

lovely game. The controls for movement of the character and the feedback on shooting was great. The melee combat can use some more jazz. The enemy design was great as well, level design was on point with me never having to think about where i should go next.  Lost almost 30mins playing this one :) very fun game.

Developer

Haha, I hope you aren't being sarcastic with the level design, as that was one of the complaints I've gotten from testers being that the level layouts were a little confusing at times. Also, thanks for the feedback, you're right about the melee not being as fleshed out as the shooting, that is definitely one thing I wished I spent a little more time on.

The text effects in the intro is quite clever, definitely helps getting player though all the text when there isn't graphic yet. Control feels smooth, the pixel art is well done, music and sfx works well together, also I really enjoy squeezing jam as a weapon.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! The intro was something I thought of a little later in development. I'm glad the text effects was able to lessen the boredom when reading it.

Great and funny game, love the art style and music, i like the fact that i need to attack the grapes with fork to reload the jam-attack. Really fun to play.

Developer

Thanks, that was one of the dynamics I liked about this idea. The fact that you couldn't just spam at enemies from afar forever forced the player to be constantly on the move.
