wow, this one was quite the experience.  At first I thought that maybe something was wrong with the controls or the windows build, but (spoiler removed) and I finally figured it out.

I was not expecting this kind of game and the puzzles were very satisfying after I figured them out.  For a gamejam game I think this was a very good length, but I could see this being expanded to a bigger game (with saving/loading, or even the ability to skip puzzles and come back to them, since I could see that being beneficial in a game like this).

graphics were pretty good considering the theme and player experience you were going for. I also liked the satisfying sfx when (spoiler removed).

I also think the control style differences between the characters was actually OK and fit the game. the only thing I was a bit bummed about was how 'ice-skatey' things felt and that I had to do a lot of precise motions to get a running start, but again, for a short game like this, that's probably OK. maybe something to consider if you expand it bigger.

I think this might be the most unique and distinct experience I've had during this jam :) thanks!

Thanks again and thanks for playing, movement is very bad actually. I loved your entry, yours and professor mutation were my favorites.

Thanks for playing!

Neat game! I thought the puzzles were cool and the menus were pretty funny. One thing I'd change is making the guy jump/slide better. I found I kind of had to running jump to get up the steps in Level 3, but this didn't seem to be part of the puzzle, just some difficult movement once I'd figured the puzzle out. But all in all very cool concept and I really like the way you were able to switch between 2D and 3D!

Developer

Totally agree with the movement, thanks for playing!

Nice game. Unfortunately I suck at puzzle game, especially this kind where you don't know anything and you have to just punch the keyboard until something happens (stuck at lvl2, when you can rotate the camera what is supposed to happen????). I'm probably too dumb for this type of game, but until the "end" it was good.

Developer(+1)

You rotate the camera and then jump into the hole, in the tutorial it says "The camera is OP" is a joke and the controls at the same time (O left P right), the idea is you belive its 2D but isn't, then you jump with the space bar which is not said but I think is what you will try as is a very common key choice for jump, thanks for playing sorry if it wasn't pleasant experience.

Unique gameplay. One that I am not used to, which shows as I was stuck in level 2.

Liked the eerie music.

Developer

Yes it's a weird type of puzzle that kinda breaks the 4th wall. I was introduced to it by pony island but I think there other games alike, thanks for playing!

I think i beat it (am never sure in this kind of game if there is a secret ending after the first ending). The puzzles play with my mind and my perspective, now i think am locked in a simulation. The music is eerie and the artstyle is a bit plain.

Developer(+1)

Great you finished it! Yes i wanted a minimalistic artstyle but anyways I had some face expressions textures for the character I couldnt implement and some outline mesh that broke. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Amazing atmosphere and very clever! I don't know if I didn't understand the controls, but I got stuck at level 3, the movement felt very slippery. But I really liked the idea and the Pony Island vibes!

Developer

The controls are a little slippery yes tweaking was in the backlog :P, you just need to jump with pixelman but the isometric perspective forces you to press two arrows at the same time to go the right way, doing multiple persepectives is not optimal XD

the game is mind blowing. Im stuck on level 2 though. I got the camera moving but i cant seem to get anywhere after that. But seriously WOW. Awesome concept

Developer

Thanks for playing, glad you like the idea, in that part you just have to jump, keep jamming!

Really cool game! But i'm stuck in Level 4, any clue?
Edit: Nevermind xD I figure that out

Developer

great you were able to finish it congrats and thanks for playing!

Very unique game! Being able to change yourself by unconventional means (which I won't spoil here) is really cool and refreshing!

Thanks for playing! glad you enjoyed it!

Good mysterious entry, man. I liked the visuals and the "obscurity" of the game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! So glad you liked the "obscurity", I was aiming for that but was taking a risk from being misunderstood, but I want to relieve that sense of discovery you get from undocumented games XD

VERY cool game.

The visual style looks awesome and it was a very cool take on the theme.

Lots of fun, very hard :D

Developer

Thanks for playing! I thought for a moment implementing a clue system, but I tough the puzzles were easy after reading the "tutorial", I think I was wrong.

Well to be honest I think that there's more satisfaction in figuring it out for yourself.

There's a lot of games that don't give you hints and if you get stuck you just go online so see if anyone else has figured it out.

Hence why the comments section of your game is going to be useful for the other players of the jam :)

I tried it and failed as well :D I got past level 1 but had no idea how to continue. I really liked the shift from 2D to 3D and the overall style. Also the character animation in level 1 was very well done. Will replay when someone figures out the solution to Level 2 ;)

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try,  the clue for level 2 is: "The camera is OP"

It's a really cool game and I really enjoy the animations but, I could barely get past lvl1 (but I got past it because of your reply to Bitron's question) lvl2 was easy and then level three was a big change to 2D which was really cool and I think fits the theme well but it was very hard because there was nothing there and for some reason the options menu wouldn't open (nvm it doesn't because it only would in lvl1 for the poly count that's why nothing in it worked.) But anyways, in general I find this game is a bit hard for people who aren't used to meta puzzle games and the game might have some unstable difficulty but had very interesting ideas.

Developer

Thanks for playing, so glad you made it past lvl 1, actually level 3 is still 3D :P,  the trick there is that when you try to jump the platform you realize is a perspective fail, if you try to turn the camera it doesn't but turns you into pixel man and the platform moves, now pixel man needs to jump, so if you try to open the options again...

Corvato my old partner in crime. You're back! :D

Unfortunately I didn't even make it out of the first room. :D The visuals are decent though! :O

Developer (1 edit)

Hello my friend, so sad to hear you got stuck in the first room, the solution for future readers is: toning down de "polycount" slider in the  (fake) options menu...
