That was quite an enjoyable game! The art was nice. The game was fastly paced, which really added to the fun! And the difficulty of the viruses were well-balanced, too!

But yeah, as said below, I wish there was some sort of auto collection for the anti bodies. In more frantic moments, I usually forget that you actually need to collect the anti bodies yourself, resulting to myself spending 5 seconds waiting for nothing lol! But idk that might take away from the challenge.

Enjoyed the game.. a variety of towers & enemies (inside nose.. lol) added more fun for the game.
Also music is also superb

Nice concept, love the plants vs zombies vibe.

Maybe add a timer to auto-collect the antibodies. Took me some time to realize I had to click it :p ( just an idea)

Nice game.  I like the theme, graphics, and audio.  Everything is themed well including the syringe.  It's fast, frantic fun.

I love tower defense games, this is great!

Had a lot of fun with this one, always enjoyed the tower defense genre and I think you guys have nailed it here. I also enjoyed the tips as well, very polished. Great work!

That was pretty fun to play. I like the idea of 'the tiny world inside your nose' haha. It was frustrating how a single enemy getting through means the end for you though. The mouse pointer is a bit awkward to pick up the antigens with too. I think it's fairly well balanced as well right up until the end when I got absolutely thrashed by whatever the black thing was that came out of the big virus hahaha.

I liked the different types of enemies and the way they were introduced slowly over time, but the one thing that bothered me was the difficulty curve on the boss fight - it spawned so many enemies so quickly, plus some new flying things I didn't now how to counter, and my defences were quickly overwhelmed. Aside from that, great game!

Already left a comment on the game's page but I want to leave it here as well:

I loved a lot the idea and the theme, but the music blown my mind for sure. Nice work!

The mechanics are clear, as well as the goal, so I only have good words for your project.
good job!

Nice polish and fun to play! I could see wanting this on my phone to play here and there :)

I didn't realise you had to click the antibodies at first to get more money.

Good idea with the setting! Fits the theme really well.

Developer

Thank you!

It's a pity we didn't have time to play-test on phones at all, with a little work it could have worked.

Thanks for the feedback about the antibodies! We still have a lot to learn about balancing and when instructions are necessary.

Great job! Tower defense is a tricky genre to get done within the time limits of a game jam, and this one is very nicely done. I like how the game play ramps up gradually and stays super interesting. Having to click for the "money" and the sores is an interesting addition and really keeps the player busy the whole time. And the result is super polished - nice art, sound, music, ui. 5/5 from me :-)

Developer

Wow! That is high praise, thank you!

We realized the scope was too large for the jam half-way through it, but we decided to stick with it. In the end, we had to cut some enemies and defenses to have time to do any balancing at all, so we're really glad the gameplay still came out interesting.

Is it wrong to admit that I played while picking my nose? I better wash my hand. Overall - it's well made.

Developer

Hey, you are free to pick your nose in your own time.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the game.

I like it! I don't see tower defense game jam games that often and this one is extremely playable!  Good take on the theme. It was fun and I'll probably play again to see if I can get further down the levels.

Developer

Wow, "extremely playable" sounds great! I hope you enjoy the endgame gameplay. Watch out for ghostvids!

Pretty satisfying tower defense. I couldn't get past the wave when you get the nose hairs. I struggled the first few plays because I didn't realize you had to click on the little antibodies to use them to build more cannons. I quite liked the theme, as well.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We struggled a bit with balancing, so hearing it was satisfying is great.  Thanks for the feedback about the antibodies! It's difficult to choose what to explain and what's too annoying ;)

Submitted

Yeah, I maybe should have put it together since the icon is there in the UI. I don't usually like overly explicit explanation tutorials, but I think in this case it shouldn't be too egregious. Or you might have a better, more streamlined idea for getting the info across. Idk.

That's it, I'm never picking my nose again!

Those Ogrevids sure are mean!

Loved the art! Unique and appropriate!
I especially enjoyed the "You got infected-restart" screen. Well done!

PS: Maybe having some music playing on the background could be cool, but I am sure you've considered that already :D Jams sure are tough...

Developer

Thank you!

Yeah... the ogrevids hit pretty hard... we still have a lost to learn about balancing games and creating a satifsfying difficulty curve.

We just learned to use 9-patch textures, so we're happy you liked the restart screen :)

There should be background music playing... not sure why you couldn't hear it :(
