I have to admit - I didn't reach the place where it's going about connection - too hard as for me and I'm not a big fan of mario-like games) It looks like another platformer with nice graphics.

  • enemy hit lack the animation feedback
  • saving should be more frequent

Wow, this is really solid and a lot of fun! I think you could easily expand this project into a really great full game. Nice work!

Thanks. We hope so. At the moment the game project is a complete mess since we finished it in a hurry for the jam.

You can tell from the intro screen alone that you have some art skills! I really loved the art work and the animations. It looks like you put a lot of time into this - nice work!

Thank you so much! It's been a long busy week XD

Fun game! I think the character hitbox is a bit too big but maybe it's just me XD

Developer(+1)

You're right, the hitbox isn't forgiving at all! Oops!

Please please please more levels!

I liked it! Nice graphics, lots of animations. Music was very cool, although it got old pretty fast and I also thought it didn't really fit the gameplay that much. Level design could be improved IMO, considering the lack of checkpoints and utilization of the shooting mechanic, that I thought was pretty fun but wasn't really integrated that much into gameplay. Maybe the first segment could be longer with more things to shoot, dividing the level into an action packed segment and a low paced one with the connection mechanic.

As people already pointed out, the connection cutscene is cool but kinda obnoxious, maybe if it went faster...

Great job!

This is a great game! I love the graphics and the sound. Also love the concept of connecting to robots to solve puzzles and reach levers that you can't!

A point for improvement would be the shooting mechanic, it just doesn't feel as weighty as a gun would feel. Maybe you have gun upgrades planned in the future, but even the initial gun should feel good to shoot.

IRIE :)

Amazing little prototype game. Graphics are freaking great and the music fits very well with the theme. I loved how you handled the connection thing ,with little window showing her at origin point. I am at loss for words, really, just love it and would love to see it developed further!

I found one little bug, where you don't immediately get killed by spinning wheels if you're under effect of just being shot by turret.

Thanks a lot!

Super cool little prototype!  I liked how the mechanics were fun to figure to out without any explicit instruction and the game had a cool aesthetic.  Can't wait to see the final version!

Beautiful pixel art!

Solid connecting! Great and compact work! I am amazed how rich this world feels, well done!

(I am curious: how did you transfer the player's control and how did you set up the check points?)

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot!
In order to transfer player control we split characters physics (+animations) from controls: each control node can be used (as child of) any character. Checkpoints are simple Area2D nodes, recording player passage.

The graphics rock! The game reminded me how bad I am at platformers:)

Love the graphics! The music is also pretty good. But damn, no checkpoints makes it quite hard, and the wire moving animation is way too slow.

Developer

Thank you so much! We added some checkpoints to make life easier.
