Nice graphics, but I didn't catch the strategy. It's like you can just throw all the coins in a row and you still win.
Well done for participating! Good job!
Art is charming as heck. Didn't seem to be any good reason to bother checking the other side of the coins or passing one's turn, though. No real strategic element. Some kind of additional risk/reward element, or ability to trade/draw coins from the pile might be cool.
Again, though: presentation is very nice!
really nice art and a good take on the theme! however, there doesn't seem to be too much strategy and it all felt a little reliant on RNG, but with a couple tweaks, this could really have potential in being something great!
A very nice concept along with art style. Came across a few bugs where even at -2hp I didnt die.
take or leave didn't seem to do anything different along with no sounds which would have really juiced this.
with another day of development to iron our the creases this would have been a great contender!
Nice concept. Slay the spire meets solitairica. The drawings are great. I would suggest choosing a font that is a bit easier to read, but other than that really good job!
The art and presentation were a treat for sure, but I wish there would have been a little more depth to the combat as I found myself just spamming all my coins each turn and just seeing what happened. Some sort of resource system could definitely give this the little something extra it needs. Great job!
The art is amazing, the dice in the head of main character is very cool! In game mechanics, I didn't die after dropped life, but it is fine because in a Jam I would not lose a game :D
Great concept for working within the theme but having an interesting take on it. Could do with some balancing and a bit more strategy, as I found myself using all my coins every turn, because there was no reason not to. I think you've got something with great potential here. The art is awesome as well!
really fun idea! with a bit more balancing you could have a real golden idea here :D keep up the great work! also incredible art!
Great art and fun idea! But I didn't understand exactly why wouldn't I use every single coin, since all of them have good effects.
Hello 1studio!
I definitely love the art, both the monsters, but especially the dice-knight. Too bad, you overscored as you mentioned, but I think the game has very good potential. I think you need to work a bit more on strategic options.
Overall well done, I hope "The profitable adventure" gets its well-deserved update after the rating period ends!
Nice game. Sounds like you had some bigger plans for the way the coins were used and I think that's worth exploring. I think "flip a coin" and "roll the dice" have the same energy imo, so i think you did well to fit the theme, but it would be nice if there were more options. The game overall though is a cool expansion on deck building combat, and worth fleshing out to see sorts of things you can do with coins instead of cards. Also I loved the coin flip animation!
Cool idea! Loved the art, though it seemed the game let me continue after hitting 0 hit points (not complaining though!)
This game is very cool – having chance dictated by coins rather than dice gives it a lot of flavour. The gameplay loop of flipping coins and using them in battle feels really good, and the visuals really reinforce that nice gamefeel. I think there's a lot you could expand on here. Oh – it also looks really, really polished. Great work!
Love the Artwork<3 I think i just havent understood it completely:D so does it matter which side of the coin is in the front, bevore you toss it? cause in the end its a 50/50 anyways right? Edit: Should there be in-game-sound?
Thanks for your comment! The toss is random which ever way the coin is facing and sadly there isn't any sound in the game.
ok, thanks for your answer:) i hope my comment didnt make you feel bad or so, cause i really like the potential of the game and especially the drawings and atmosphere. How many people did work on this?
Awesome arts, really cool character designs. The mechanics are enjoyable and you have nice foundations in your entry !
Thanks for the kind words!
Pretty fun mechanics, but it doesn't feel like i had much of a choice in strategy, i just flip coins and see the results. I feel like It could be a great implementation in a bigger game though. Great design too ! On my side, i feel like it fits the theme perfectly.
Thanks for the feedback! Maybe this game is a beginning of something much greater :)
Clever idea! It doesn't feel like there's any room for strategy in combat-- I just flip every coin each time. The character designs are wonderful.
Thanks for the feedback! I see your point. I thought about adding more coins that work like modifiers so that you have to choose more cearfuly witch coins do you want to play. Maybe that would have inproved the strategy aspect of the game.
Oh hey! You took the theme a bit as I did. By using coin/dice to battle! Very cool mechanic that the slime sabotages your coins and you could definitely expand on this concept. I also wanted to make my game a rougelike first, but I didn't have the time so I premade levels.
Thanks for you comment! I'll be sure to check out your take on the idea :)
A really cool Slay the Spire like game! My big criticism is doesn't feel like it fits the "roll a dice" prompt at all. Would have been better for "flip a coin". That said, hope the team fleshes this out - a deck builder where you can potentially stick or flip an option is neat!
Thanks for your comment! My idea for the coin was that a coin is also a two sided dice, but now that I think about it, I guess it isn't very obvious.
