No problem, it's just as valuable to learn that it's confusing. We're constantly looking for ways to improve the game so we'll make sure to make this clearer in our next update. Thanks for clarifying!

Thanks so much for the feedback! You losing HP - was this the Siren fight? If so this is unfortunately a bug where she's set incorrectly to attack when she should be shielding, sorry about that!
We'll be working a lot of the UX post jam to hopefully make everything super clear, as we don't want the game to feel unfair.
Thanks for playing!
Thanks for all the feedback! I realised that the main character looked a bit like Anya so I made a deliberate reference on one of the cards >:D
We'll probably opt for only adding one card in the future per fight to help balance it, but with the number of fights I wanted people to be able to try a larger number of cards in just one playthrough, but that does push it on the easier side.
There is music in the game, three different tracks - did it not play? Could you hear sound effects or was it all sound? We've not had anyone else report it, but if it's a bug we'd like to fix it!
Thank you so much!
So I went into the project to check, and yes, you are right - The Siren is supposed to block, but instead is mistakenly set to attack. Thank you for pointing this out, we'll make sure to fix it!
And thank you, we'll be updating the game to add extra cards, rebalance and fix bugs for sure!
Losing all your cards is not intentional - that's a bug. Sorry for that, but thank you for pointing it out, we'll make sure to fix it!
At the moment, enemy AI picks a random move from a list, and those moves can do variable damage from a range. It's weighted to try and be as fair as possible, but it still leaves room for bad RNG unfortunately and we didn't have the time to make it more precise. Sorry you weren't able to finish, but thank you for playing!
Edit: So I've now discovered the Siren is mistakenly set to attack when she should be shielding. That's another bug and is likely what made this fight difficult. Very sorry!
Really like the art! I think the gameplay is a bit repetitive, but I think what could help a lot is if you fight different enemies. At the moment, it feels like you're fighting a slime that never dies forever, but seeing enemies go down after every few hits might help give a sense of progression. I did like figuring out what everything was though!
The reason I asked - I usually use pixel art in Unity too and I had the blurry pixel art problem - it took me a while to figure out. On the sprite settings, if you set Compression to "None" and the Filter Mode to "Point: No filter" it should make it look all sharp. I hope that's helpful for the future! ^_^
Wow, this is by far the longest I have played a game in the jam! Was a lot of fun, glad I was able to finally beat it! Very well balanced in my opinion!
Minor nit-pick - I got frustrated at the game at first because I thought it was cheating me out of wins when the health bar looked like it was 0, there's a picture below (and only realised later that the health is also in the top corner). I think if this was clearer it would be helpful!
But overall, one of the best games I have played, super polished, beautiful art and sound and really fun gameplay! Great work!
We're planning to add a bunch of animations post jam which should help with that, and just slow the fights down a bit by handling each thing one by one so you can take in everything that happens between turns. We'll make sure we add an indication of low health with graphics and sound too. Thanks a lot for all the feedback!
