Nice color selection and the gameplay music matches with the gameplay. Would be nice to see some popup animations for all the UIs. Other than that the game's really good!

very fun to play, but a little too hard to die, i think it has too many healing items. Congratulations on the game, good job, its a great game.
Yeah, I definitely agree haha. The balancing for the game was a last ditch effort and we accidentally made it too hard for new players since we were balancing relative to our experience as people who know exactly what everything in the game is lol.

Trying to die as quickly as possible is surprisingly fun! I really liked the level up buff mechanic, where you get a nice powerup to try to die faster, but it also heals you, so you have to decide whether the tradeoff is worth it or not.

Maybe some feedback is in place for when you gain and loose health, like when you level up for example! But other that, really enjoyable game :)

Very solid, though I got a little bit frustrated having level ups heal me back up, which isn't a bad thing or anything, just tooke me a long time to realize it was happening lol. Fun take on the theme :)

it has a really unique twist! And definitely difficult to be death if you pick the wrong upgrades.

nice twist of game mechanic! i have seen a few vampire survivors games but this is by far one of the best twist to it! congrats!

Really cool idea! As a fan of Vampire survivors it was fun to try and do the opposite and get myself killed. I like that the upgrades also are meant to get you killed faster. I played twice with first time being ~2:24 and second being ~1:57.
I'm not sure if I'm sold on the upgrading healing you though... I guess it gives a bit of a decision, like do I try to level up fast to get lots of "debuffs", or do I not and just try to take pure damage. For me it mainly discouraged me on trying to level up, which I would prefer to do as leveling up with new dying assisting powers stacking on would be more fun to me. I wonder if instead of healing instead you just had an extra massive health bar? Just a thought I had while playing.
Other than my tiny critique though this game is very good. Well done to your team submitting and excellent take to the jam!!

Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to tweak with the numbers..
Currently it only heals 30% of max HP... Might maybe reduce it to 10% or something..

i really enjoyed the game. Didn't expect to have trouble with it but seems the character is more sturdy than i thought so :D. Running after projectiles trying to get hit was fun

Morbid fun. Interesting idea that you can fine tune your "build" for a more efficient death :D It's cool when games play against your instincts, like how in the start I'd automatically run for health before having to consciously lead myself away from it. Solid game.

The health pack is so brutal, haha -- heals so much -- great mechanic! Really good concept too -- Kinda reminds me of Indestructotank (the 2007 flash game). I couldn't quite tell how much damage the gas or fire was doing though, but really nice work overall!

Yeah we were trying to balance out a lot of the numbers, but its hard to get a very polished game in 48 hours xD
