Wow this was honestly really amazing, I loved playing this and am super impressed all across the board! First of all the game looks phenomenal, from the art to the animations. Just super polished! The gameplay was a lot of fun and really interesting too with the rolling and then calling back of the dice. It leads to really fun gameplay, if a little on the easier side. I definitely had some lag when it would spawn a ton of enemies in later waves but that could be my crappy computer haha Amazing job!

How does your game fit the theme?
The player controls a little dice which you have to (physically!) roll at enemies to hurt them, and how much damage you take is determined by that roll!

I really liked the art of the game. Also the movement animation was just gorgeous. I also like how you have to retrieve the dice after throwing it.
But I think there could be an option to pause the game.
Congratulations for the art and music! Also the “boomerang” gimmick has always been quite addictive to me :P. I’d only improve the enemies’ AI to avoid them getting stuck on walls.
Love the art and the general boardgame/tabletop theme. :)
Throwing the dice feels a little bit of though, as you throw it to the ground and then it "bounces" in the direction you have aimed.
Very fun game and the art and sound effects suit each other and the game well. Nice work!
There is so much to enjoy about the game. I absolutely adore the visuals and the fact that it is centred on board game pieces is quite an effective interpretation of the theme. The sound design and music were on point. The gameplay was quite addictive as well! Incredibly amazing all around, awesome work!
It's immediately noticable how much love went into this game! <3
First of all, congrats to both of you for making the art and the soundtrack/sfx feel so endearing - it just feels like everything in this game fits so well together and like you really had a consistent style and direction going! :) You even made such a neat little banner and logo for the game - I am genuinely curious and excited for how you will update the game after the jam!
I wish I could give more constructive feedback, but the following things are the only things I noticed that seemed kinda off to me:
- The walking animation of the character could feel a little bit sluggish at times, as the wobbling made it feel like my inputs were not always recognized correctly or immediately. Even though it very much fits the style, it irritated me a little bit at first.
- The combat felt a little bit too easy. There is no punishment for throwing and immediately retrieving again. I could imagine that your little dice buddy could have a little bit of a recovery time period or that you need to be in a particular radius of them to actually retrieve them back. This would make combat a tiny bit more engaging I think!
All in all, it's a charming little game, especially as it's made in only 48 hours - I really love it! <3
I really like the art and enemies! Although sometimes its hard to know the range for retrieving the die.
Realy nice, i had fun playing it. My best trick, is to trow the dice, wait for the ennemies to get between me and the dice, and then retrive :-)
This was neat. Really liked the art and sound design. Will be keeping an eye out for the post Jam version.
