Nice game. I like the idea of using familiar "Fifa" mechanics in a completely different genre. Nice sound design! Good job.

Well done, this could become a really good game with a bit more polish.

Great job on the dynamic music! Sounds are also great and feel impactful.

The enemies move very slowly and don't have ranged attacks, so staying alive isn't very challenging.

Do the numbers on the dice impact gameplay at all?

Hi !

Thanks for your feedback :) !

Actually no, the number does not impact gameplay. Initially, we planned to have 6 ennemies with numbers on their shield, but we realized it was too much work and not visible enough, so we gave a color to each number.

Developer

what do you mean about the dice numbers ? Can you argument on this ? i'm curious to hear about it.

@toutvrac I was just asking if the numbers changed anything in the game, but Pougrivioure answered my question.

I hadn't noticed that each number is assigned to a color. I get it now.

Wow, the sound effects and 3D graphics really blew this one out of the water for me - they were amazing! Especially with the swelling music, your game immediately stands out in that way!

A little in-game explanation of what the actual goal was would have been nice, but other than that, I really liked it :)

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked the ambience we made, and of course the game ! ^^

Quite like this one! The work on the dynamic soundtrack doesn't go unnoticed - it's immediately satisfying to throw a dice an enemy's way.

Getting into nitpicky territory, I wish tossing the dice was a bit... quicker? Not necessarily because the player is slow or anything - the dice just covers a large distance, and you have to go all the way over to catch it just to see if the next throw will be the colour you want. There could be some sneaky player nudging going on that makes sure that only the colours from the gladiators on screen  show up on the dice, though I wouldn't expect it given the time frame.

Great job finishing the game up, though! Doubly impressive that this is a first time project.

We will see how we can eventually upgrade the game after the vote period :)

Thank you for playing, and we are happy you enjoy the game !

Very fun concept and design! While kicking the dice ball was enjoyable though, I would have loved to see more enemy variety and/or attack variety. Amazing work for a first Unity game!

Glad you enjoy our game and thanks for your comment :)

This is a really cool idea, it just feels a bit incomplete. Seems like you spent too long on things like crowd noises and dynamic soundtrack (Which are cool in their own right) to actually implement things like score counters, credits, and UI. Still fun, just wish it was more complete!

haha actually our problem was more versioning and the fact we never builded a unity game before. But we're glad you liked it !

Really enjoyed this - there's a tangible sense of weight to the dice, which combined with the shattering sound as an enemy is defeated gave combat a great impact. The music is superb and fits the game perfectly, and I love the tiny 3d models.

I encountered a few bugs while playing - my score didn't increase when enemies were defeated, and as with Dacarium below I didn't get any blue enemies. Still had a blast playing though :)

Thanks for your comment ! We are glad you enjoy our game !

Yes, we noticed the score  bug, we hope to patch the game after the vote period :) And for the blue enemies, I think it's bad luck, as Pougrivioure said, because I just retry and my first wave was blue ^^'

Cool Concept!
I enjoyed playing the game and is there a blue enemy? I didn't see them.

Thans for your comment !
You mean no blue ennemy spawned ? It's random, so maybe you where just unlucky

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Yup no blue enemy spawned. I think it is my luck XD. Btw I like your music too.

Thanks you ! Looking forward your game to be patched so i can finish it :)
