Really nice shooter game!

Tbh I suck at these types of games so I couldn't get very far but I did enjoy how the dice mechanic forced you to keep changing your strategies, it really made it stay fresh and exciting.

I do think the general pace could have been faster. More enemies, faster reloading and faster weapon switching would have felt really good at a high level of constantly switching around tactics.

Great job!

Cool game and concept, with very intuitive design, felt very polished too, with SFX and all!
Took me no time to get the hang of the reloading mechanic and master it. I made it to level 9!

My only request is that 'powerups' were a bit stronger and more frequent:
-- like maybe a perma-increase on weapon tier on rolls every 5 levels
-- or damage/HP/shot-time/reload-time upgrades
-- or some 3-use dice with OP weapons that do 1shot kills or group shots, helping you pass half a level

Really good top down shooter with great take on the theme. The guns all felt really unique and each had its pros and cons. I am honestly just very impressed at the variety of content available in this game. The soundtrack is fantastic.

Great use of the dice mechanic. If you had more time, a clickable UI element for the different choices would have been awesome. I really enjoyed the chainsaw :D

Mmmm, sitting behind a wall with a shotgun and giving enemies a good blast to the face is king B)

It has a solid gameplay loop! The enemies actually aren't complete push-overs which was really nice. I think that the re-roll mechanic was really good too. The only negative thing that I have to say is that the input for the re-roll felt a little bit off. For an action game, it felt a bit odd to have to go and click through the menu but other than that it was very smooth! :D

Having to pause the game to roll really breaks the immersion.

I liked your execution of this concept! The gameplay was simple enough for me to grasp pretty quickly and it made out to be quite fun. The artstyle you had was very nice, although I really wish there was a bit more contrast and less blend between bullets and the environment; that was a little bit hard on my eyes. I also would've really liked some player feedback such as an indicator when I could roll the dice, since in the beginning I'd mindlessly shoot a lot and forget that I need to reroll when I had no ammo. Overall very good submission! The chainsaw gave me doom energy lol

I enjoyed playing this. Pretty addicting game. Having all the different weapons and having them vary every time after you used all ammo plays really nicely.

Gameplay wise what needs tweaking in my opinion is:

I dislike how everytime your ammo is gone and you reroll the dice, you have to reselect the die / weapon from the menu. Having this selection as a seperate button and having Space default to the current weapon or die you have (or perhaps just the next one, in case you completely used up the current one) would make it so the gameplay is not interrupted each time.

Further the rolling of the die seems to take too much time. I honestly feel like this could be a good mechanic or a bad one. Running away and trying to dodge while the die rolls can be intense, which is fun, but it also just seems too long to me.

The art does its job, and the music works really well.

Overall really good game!

Chainsaw ammo moment

Interesting concept! The only critism ill give is that the text blends with the background alot when picking up dices from the ground. There could also perhaps be a better indicator when you are able to press space to reroll for a random weapon, but those are only minor complaints. Quite fun!

Almost got to level 10! I liked the big variety in guns you could get. Especially the telefragger!

The music and sound effects really helped sell the setting and were really well done. The concept itself is great too - and is executed really well. My only gripe is that perhaps the shooting could use a bit more juice, which would help improve the feeling of the game. Other than that - a solid, great jam game that I enjoyed playing: good job!

Really fun game. I really liked the way the random weapon was integrated.

The music and sounds supported each other very well.

A lot of games did the "roll your random weapon" thing, but it's the first time that it actually felt nice. The weapons are well balanced and I like that the chainsaw forces you in melee combat. Also the enemies with different weapons! Not many tought about that, but you did and it actually creates some variance in the game that makes it more enjoyable. With some bit of polishing and additions I can see myself playing this game casually. A quick suggestion that I have: add a line to the sniper rifle for targeting! I love the idea that the sniper rifle is deadly but slow, but sometime it's hard to aim it right (probably because I suck not because of the game, but still XD). Good job! I liked it :)

Nice little game! I took a bit of time before realizing to press space to roll a dice but i still managed to make it to wave 4 with rolling 3 pistols in a row lol

I wanna start by saying I love the gameplay and it's ideas but have some vital criticisms. First off and this may be a touchpad issue, but sometimes my mouse would stop moving and I wouldn't be able to shoot. I also had issues with bullets not connecting and even died because my hurtbox was also on the gun I carried. These problems aside I found the random guns to be very fun for the short gameplay loop and the weapon variety is decent. Not sure how great the tazer or chainsaw are but they were satisfying to wreck with haha. Great work here and wish the other dice would unlock sooner so that more people experience the meat of this game

Thanks for trying it out! I think that issue is on your touchpad because neither me or anyone who playtested it encountered that. Thanks for sticking with it despite that!

Pretty fun gameplay! The bullets blend into the background which makes them hard to see. I made it to wave 6.

I loved the sounds and action, they complimented each other well. And getting a new weapon was a very cool application of the theme. It was fun. My only issue with the game is how small the text is, and that it blends into the background. It was rather hard to read anything. Still, I made it to wave 5, it was good.

Self Promotion: I'd appreciate if you'd play my game too.

Thanks!

Truly enjoyable game.

Unfortunately the really fun weapons have very limited use and the rolling dice animation can cover some important information. Otherwise, the music, the movement and the gunplay are great.

Thanks for the feedback!

I enjoyed playing the game.

In a corner should appear what buttons you can press and what it does. I figured out pretty hard how to roll.

I really didn't realize at first that I had to press space. I tried to look for more bullets on the map. Or even press R to reload

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you stuck with it!

I really liked your game! I just have 2 things. 1. I would keep the text where the controls are at the top instead of the exposition. I thought your description was just story at first so I didn't know how to roll the dice until a few deaths later when I clicked it on accident.  2. The Dice addition is awesome but it's very easy to win when you can just keep rolling to get a weapon. I really enjoyed some of the weapons and I thought the dice animation and the different types of dice was cool.

Thanks so much for the feedback!
