Fun, polished game. Loved the art style and music. Congrats on completing the game for the jam!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
So pretty, well done!
I have to say using physics for detecting movements is risky in such game:P I blocked after about 400 moves in one level, and couldn't move when I realized that my dice is just a bit off on the field. With physics based movement it should be fixed each time - unless it was some other error?
Other than that what can I say... perfect. Any thoughts about 4 squared fields to reorient dice? Because in my game I have some comments saying that its bad and I don't agree - its just an organic mechanic, allowed by level design. I mean maybe we are too generous with it, but here we can see it used perfectly.
Thank you! Someone told me this bug, i saw where the issue is from and already corrected it. I forgot to round position values after each moves which leaded to micro-shifts between moves, cause there is a bit of physics implied in the player controller.
I think the 4 squares for dice orientation is a good organic gameplay mechanic to play with as long as the rule is kept in a simple level design. I know for some people can have hard time visualizing the number of rotations before being correctly aligned, it's sort of like Rubik's cube solving logic, not everyone likes to rotate the thing endlessly before finding the correct position. Keep in mind that you need at least 6 squares to completely flip upside down a 6-unique-faces dice which is not really intuitive for people.
Love the gameplay !! It was nice and simple ! the concept was super original and fit the theme really well. Great work!! :D
lo-fi music: nham! :D
great looking
ha! I did the first level in 50 movs olny!!! hahahah
Haha! Thanks for playing! If you feel competitive, I've displayed my personnal best moves at the bottom of this page !
Great art and idea! I personally think that the angle of the levels makes it a little harder to conceptualize where the arrow keys will place you at times.
Thank you for playing!
Indeed it can be hard to visualize moves i also fall sometimes so i'll add a little indication in a new update!
there's nothing interesting about falling anyway, it would be better to just disable it. Also you should rotate the camera so it's not at a 45 degree angle instead of adding an indicator, the directions are ambiguous like this. Here's an example: (not my game) https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-jam-2022/rate/1617762
I adore the neon/vapourus vibe.
Finally, I've found a challenging puzzle game, great work.
Visuals are really really strong, and gameplay is fun and engaging
Thank you! :)
The colors in this game go so well together! They help build a vibe to it!!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed!
I've seen a lot of games revolving around this concept, but this one is by far my favorite of the bunch. Great artwork and hard puzzles, great work!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed! It's very simple and doesn't have much gameplay mechanics but I think it just works like that!
I'm planing to add more levels and variety! Thanks for playing :)
Great puzzle game! The artwork looks stunning.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed!
Really cool game.
I loved the camera and graphics :)
Thanks a lot! I've spent a good part of time on them :D
Awesome presentation, i like it. I appreciate the volume slider. Most of the games are way too loud without that option.
Thanks! I've added it but idk how, it started to bug minutes before i built the game, I lacked of time to fix it and also play steps and collect sounds!
Dark mode dice. yes. in all seriousness great game, the visuals and art are superb and the game is fun to play. and most importantly, it has dark more dice
I also love dØrk mode too :D
Thanks a lot for your kind words and for playing!
Fun concept. I enjoyed the puzzle aspect
Thank you! Not super creative gameplay but glad you enjoyed!
We have similar concepts but different execution. You've really done well the art and music side. The game looks very nice with these colors. I wish there was some sort of sfx and some additional mechanics.
I agree, as i said the build contains audio errors which makes it a bit empty on this side,
I also lacked of time for those new mechanics but i'm working on it.
Thank you for playing and feedback!
It looks great and the levels are interesting ! I love how you gently introduced the way to do a small circle to change the dice orientation.
The only downside I see is that it's lacking just a bit of personality for my taste. Maybe some little more feedbacks and/or SFXs. Still it's really good for a jam.
I personally don't think the options menu is really important in a jam, but why not if you had some spare time. I must say it's a pretty complete menu^^
Thanks for your feedback!
It was a challenge to me to implement "mobile-ready" options that i could replicate on other games, but I, somehow, managed to screw up the audio manager the sliders are bugged and it only plays music and win sfx, the steps or collecting sounds are ignored :/ couldn't fix this on time but this is now fixed! I plan to keep it updated with new levels as soon as the jam ends!
The game is nice, music great. But I would prefer this game without dice... :')
Thank you for playing! I know this is the kind of puzzle game where you don't want to be restricted to such patterns in this gameplay loop.
If i had extra time and knowledge i'd implement more variety. But at least this fits the theme!
You did a good job with your game. Keep going! Jams are all about new knowledge anyways :)
Absolutely right! Thanks again :)
Really fun and really well polished. On level nine I managed to bug the game out a couple times once I got into the high 300's - the die got to a point where it wouldn't move anymore and I had to restart. Really enjoyed it overall, though - fantastic job!
Oh thats a weird bug! gonna check my code again i might have slight positions shifts between moves!
Thank you for playing and your feedback! Glad you enjoyed :)
