Seeing cinematic in a jam was so refreshing. Unluckily the second pot keeps freezing my game, but would love to see post jam, because this looks amazing

#justiceforallshopkeeper! dun let their effort go unnoticed!
That's a pretty cool setting! ^^ The art and pace are top-notch, the introduction really took me by surprise. I haven't been able to go really far though. On all the attempts I made, Lunk eventually break the kiln on his first visit. There might be some mechanics I didn't understand. There's a lot of text to read in the game, and the time limit makes it hard to unpack it all. The concept if fun though, and maybe if I understood it better, I could see the core loop more clearly!
Yeah, we realized a couple unfortunate bugs right at the deadline. Super bummed as we think we had a pretty fun gameplay loop, but hey, that's game jams for you lol. Thanks for trying it out and stay tuned as we will be ironing out the bugs after the jam and putting a little more polish on it (like adding mobile controls) so you can chill on your couch and become a true Pot Legend! Stay tuned! <3
I love the theming and the presentation! Every Zelda fan has wondered where all the pots come from. This game tells that story in a cute and funny way! Unfortunately, the game kept softlocking for me, either when the shopkeeper was sweeping or when Lunk was attacking. I think this could be a great idea to expand upon!
Really cool concept and I love the art and story! Can't wait for the more polished version!
The art style is very well done, I also love the humor of it all. A clearer tutorial of sorts would've been nice, but overall good game
Great looking game, and clever to be on the other side of that pot destroying fanatic.
Definitely a fun premise of role reversal! Loved the intro cinematic and overall artstyle, I think the game would have been even better with a bit more explanation of the mechanics & clearer communication on resource costs/benefits of the different pots. Either way congrats on the game!
Absolutely agree. Thanks for playing and for the genuine feedback! We're planning on releasing a more polished version after the game jam and add mobile controls as well for a more accessible experience. There are two core ideas that we weren't able to implement that we believe will really round out the fun: Kiln Upgrades to unlock better pots, Magic pots that add buffs/fun abilities. Super funny intro, and a pretty fun game over all. It plays almost like a tower defense game except you are trying to beat out the durability of Lunk's sword. As others have mentioned there are some bugs, at some point Lunk just stopped moving and that was kinda that. However, despite the bugs, I found the game very charming and enjoyable so they did not bother me. Gameplay wise, if you choose to update it, I would def love to see the ability get faster at building. Presentation-wise, the game was absolutely charming, and had a wonderful aesthetic. Great work. Lunk will never destroy my Kiln
Thanks so much for the response and for playing our game! Yes, the original plan was to have Kiln upgrades that allowed for unlocking better pots. The porcelain pots were also going to be magic and buff adjacent pots, etc... we had to scope down just to be able to finish on time though haha. We were a bit too ambitious for a 48hr jam, but I am glad we were still able to submit, despite the bugs!
A hilarious opening scene to the game! Unfortunately I couldn't play much due to bugs, but you can definitely see the love and fun put into this game. Hopefully after the jam it can be worked on a bit more. Great work! :)
Despite the bugs, I really enjoyed the game! The art was lovely and the concept unique! Wonderful work! ♥
I'd like to see the game's bugs resolved, the idea humors me and the cutscenes are well drawn!
Hey there, thanks for playing our game! This is the dev here, I think I'm going to spend some time after the jam to iron out the bugs and add mobile controls. We also had a plan to upgrade the kiln, unlocking more pots over time, that I'd like to see implemented as well. Very fun concept to work on and glad to see interest! Give us a follow if you'd like to be notified when we add an updated/bug free-ish version!
