Great job! I was surprised by how the role reversal showed itself during the gameplay. That was a really nice touch!

This was a such a thoughtful, warm, and well-designed game! I loved it from start to finish; having the menu be the introduction to the main mechanic is so clever, and the rest of the game was intuitive and heart-warming. I'm surprised a game this polished was made in 48 hours — great work, team! :)

Thank you so much for your words!! Polish was our main focus for this jam, so we're glad it's being noticed, and that you enjoyed it :)

I played the web version before I noticed that it was a bad idea, so I had a laggy version, but the game itself was really intresting. I love the esthetics too!

Submitted(+3)

I'm deeply captivated by this game. It has such a lovely story, and you've done a fantastic job with it.

Developer

Thank you so much for your comment! It means a lot <3

So good ! Love the way it work and the whole elegance of the game ! The "role reversed" theme strike quickly and nicely and every little twist on the game is really cute. Like, good game!

I truly, deeply, adored this! Very well done to all of you

Your comment goes straight to our heart, thank you!!

This is great! It really gives me vibes of puzzle games i love like A Little to the Left and Unpacking, but it's beautifully it's own thing. It's obviously a bit too simple being that it was made in 48h, but it was made so well, everything looks and plays so nicely. With a bit more gameplay and dialogue and different scenarios... this could really be a full release, this is amazing, congratulations on the amazing project!

Thanks a lot!

Creative and with a nice atmosphere. GJ!

Really nice cozy tiny game! Love it. Also Presentation of the theme is very unique. Artstyle is adorable, sound design fits the game and over all its solid expirience. I enjoyed the game :)

Submitted(+2)

i like the interpretation of the theme, and the idea of dragging dialogue options and objects into the box is very interesting
saldy i played on the browser version and the game crashed :(

Developer

Our apologies for the crash, thank you for giving it a go and for your feedback!

Really unique idea and nice art well done! :)

A really great game! Super creative and its use of the background is great!

(+1)

I got so into this. It's my absolute favorite out of all of these. Meets the theme both by reversing the role of the therapist/client and making you realize you can use the background as dialogue options. But after a few minutes, Unity crashes in the same spot every time, so I couldn't finish it.

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, there is definitely an issue with the web version, sorry for the inconvenience 😥 If you ever feel like coming back to see the end, the desktop version works fine!

This was very very good! I loved the way the room expanded around you. The central message was very good too.

There is a typo towards the end FYI. It says "pig picture" instead of "big picture."

How did you make the music? It was lovely.

Developer(+1)

M...maybe the therapist was referring to the actual picture of a pig...? Or it's a...metaphore... 😳
Just kidding, thanks for reporting it! We'll be sure to fix it! And thank you for your kind comment!

Hey. For the music I used FL Studio with 3 virtual instruments : "Noire" for the piano, "Cuba" for the upright bass and "Abbey Road 60s drummer" for the drums, all from Native Instruments. I composed music for a lot of time, jazz is not really beginner friendly and my tools are expensive, but at the end of the day it's a light orchestration so I could easily modulate and add a lot of small things.

Submitted

I was really really surprised when I saw that the music was made during the jam. It is fantastic, I actually sent the game to a friend that has trained as a jazz drummer.

Seriously, great work. Music for jams is hard, I kinda slacked for our game. My goal was to do a procedural system with a pool of melodies that get randomly chosen. All it is right now is an 8 bar progression that loops but it changes instrument depending on the tile you're on.

You ever look into procedural pieces for games? It's a really fun way to compose because you don't have to cut so much. (I hate cutting things I write haha!)

Developer(+1)

I did some procedural systems for mostly rearranging tracks and stems, but I would love to make a completely generative music but it's a lot of work and that can be hard for a jam. Maybe next time ? I will try to get better with the tools before. I made a music once for a small tactical game where the stems are linked to what character is in your team, it sounds a bit like what you describes.

I used FMOD for integrating in this game, I have worked mostly with Wwise before and that's really nice for adaptive and generative music but it's a bit hard to start with. What did you use for your procedural system? Native Unity/Unreal can be a pain in the ass with audio.

Submitted

I am a programmer by trade so I just use the Unity stuff. I will normally just write a monobehavior that handles my stems and plays them in time. I'll send you any of my code if you want it.

As someone who always has a habit of checking in on people and asking them how they are feeling when I’m going through challenging times I really appreciate this game!

The execution on the concept is great, having the environment slowly reveal itself and having the player find items in the environment to respond with is a really clever approach :]

The art-style and sound effects blend together nicely and create an overall wholesome tone ;] Thanks for making this!

Developer(+1)

Thank YOU for taking the time of giving feedback! We're glad you related 🙏

your art style rocks!! i love it, i was forced to do a sketchy artstyle for my game cause of my lack of artistic abilities 🤧🤧

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much for your feedback! The comments on your game are pretty unanimous: YOUR art style rocks ✨ It's cute and serves the tone of your game! I'll make sure to check it out later! Edit: checked it out and yeah it's awesome

This game is very ergo. And the art is really good! I loved it!

Submitted(+1)

Lovely experience. This is one of the games from this jam I'll remember for sure :). Love the expanding view and the interactions. Great job!

Submitted(+2)

Love this take on the theme. Beautifully done.

This game's tutorial being the menu is so simple yet it is intuitive. I like how as you help the therapist the scope of what you can see gets larger. It helps slowly introduce the materials you can use to help the therapist in a symbolic way.

Developer

Thank you so much for your comments! It's really rewarding to see that people who play our game feel the intentions and symbolism we tried to convey!!
