The game looks amazing! I love the whole story of it (It made me cry!) It would be amazing to see a full version with different days!

Saw this game in the GMTK video, caught my eye. I love the overall vibe, the sound design is great and the main mechanic is a fun and innovative way of making dialogue more interactive. So points there.

But I'm sorry, I must be the only person who found the narrative borderline offensive. A psychotherapist who burdens their (traumatized, if only humoristic) client with their own problems? It felt guilt-trippy and infuriating, not "wholesome".

Such a great narrative game, it was so engaging I loved every moment of it. I like how we can interact, with both text and objects allowing us to experiment. The art style is so pretty, and the story is very interesting and well told.
The web version crashed for me also towards the end, but I could play smoothly with the downloadable windows one! You did a fantastic job, congratulations!

I don't know why, but I got this error:

Nevertheless, here is my review:

[ + + + + + ]  ::  PRESENTATION

I didn't expect a therapy session about the frog incident... let alone a therapy session for my therapist. I felt genuine pleasure in giving my therapist the attention they deserve in their very difficult life. They're human too, after all.

Great game, phenomenal artwork, and brilliant idea. Glad I got to play. Wish I could make it to the end.

Detailed Review

=========================

[ + + + + - ] :: ENJOYMENT

I felt a bit lost at first, but you quickly guided me to the object of the game! It was fun to explore the therapy room for inspiration to help my therapist. Ther' 'appy.

I wasn't able to finish because of that error I got. Perhaps it's because I was using firefox? Either way, I hope you're able to figure out the issue.

[ + + + + + ] :: CREATIVITY

I think the thing I loved about the creativity most was that you didn't explicitly reveal the plot. You made it very intuitive. It was fun to become the therapist for a moment. I'm rating it 5 stars because of how brilliantly unique this idea was. Great job!

[ + + + + + ]  ::  PRESENTATION

My wife walked in while I was playing in awe, and was like "that's pretty," which brought me back to reality for a moment. I was like "uhh... oh, yeah, it is!"

I was so engaged that I didn't have my critic goggles on! You did a phenomenal job with the presentation, the music, and the sfx.

That's the most thorough review we've received so far, a huge thanks for taking the time to do it and for your kind words! We're very sorry about the crash, it's indeed been reported to us several times and we've identified the problem but can't update it while the submissions are still being rated. The downloadable build works fine though, if you're ever curious about seeing the end :)
I'll make sure to check your entry later!

Submitted(+1)

Thank you! I will play the downloadable!

Submitted(+2)

Played the downloadable. It's nice! Glad I didn't miss too much more. There was a typo towards the end. Pig picture instead of big picture. Not a big deal; just thought i'd point it out.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

This is a really nice entry and a wholesome game to play : every tiny element in the game feels well-thought and masterfully implemented. Congratulations ! :D

The way the art scales as the conversation goes on was perfect!

Developer

Thank you so much! The composition of this artwork took a lot of time since it had to follow the narration. But I'm glad it paid off!!

amazing concept!! had a great time playing this game

Submitted(+2)

Innovative! And such beautiful art, too. Good job!

Submitted(+1)

I loved it!! The concept is really cool and it was well executed. The music and animation was really nice and love the art and design of this game !  Great job , the game is beautiful ! :)

Submitted(+2)

Great job! I was surprised by how the role reversal showed itself during the gameplay. That was a really nice touch!

Submitted(+2)

This was a such a thoughtful, warm, and well-designed game! I loved it from start to finish; having the menu be the introduction to the main mechanic is so clever, and the rest of the game was intuitive and heart-warming. I'm surprised a game this polished was made in 48 hours — great work, team! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your words!! Polish was our main focus for this jam, so we're glad it's being noticed, and that you enjoyed it :)

Submitted(+3)

I played the web version before I noticed that it was a bad idea, so I had a laggy version, but the game itself was really intresting. I love the esthetics too!

Submitted(+3)

I'm deeply captivated by this game. It has such a lovely story, and you've done a fantastic job with it.

Developer

Thank you so much for your comment! It means a lot <3

Submitted(+3)

So good ! Love the way it work and the whole elegance of the game ! The "role reversed" theme strike quickly and nicely and every little twist on the game is really cute. Like, good game!

Submitted(+3)

I truly, deeply, adored this! Very well done to all of you

Developer

Your comment goes straight to our heart, thank you!!

This is great! It really gives me vibes of puzzle games i love like A Little to the Left and Unpacking, but it's beautifully it's own thing. It's obviously a bit too simple being that it was made in 48h, but it was made so well, everything looks and plays so nicely. With a bit more gameplay and dialogue and different scenarios... this could really be a full release, this is amazing, congratulations on the amazing project!

Thanks a lot!

Really nice cozy tiny game! Love it. Also Presentation of the theme is very unique. Artstyle is adorable, sound design fits the game and over all its solid expirience. I enjoyed the game :)
