The controls felt pretty unintuitive, I had trouble figuring them out, and regularly I would mix keys. But apart from that issue, it's a nice relaxing game! I like the simple concept, and the very readable presentation. It might need an end state, because it becomes quite easy to survive forever. But the game remains soothing to play anyway. Good job!
Really cute game! We love taking care of plants in real life so it was fun to take care of them in game as well. Great game entry!
Really cool point of view you chose for the scene. Loved the art and mood. Those are some needy plants!!
Original and relaxing, this game offers a pretty unique concept! Although the controls may be initially not intuitive, the charming atmosphere make it an enjoyable experience. It has a great potential for further development. Well done!
Thanks for your kind words. I agree and we're currently working on better controls to make it easier and more intuitive to paly. Thanks for the feedback!
This is soo relateable, haha! You never know what what the plant is wanting, but when you get it it's usually too late!
Very creative game, probably would love mouse control and also day count or something. Oh, and also 3 plants are kinda sustainable indefinetely, but you need constant care. Just like real life fr
We tried indeed to do a realistic gameplay haha
I agree, we did ran out of time to do better balance, rework the controls and so on. We'll definitly be working on that later, thanks a lot for the feedback, much appreciated!
Original concept! Maybe it's better to play only with the mouse (ex. drag need to the plants). Anyway, good job!!!
I agree, we're currently reworking the controls to make something easier to use and more intuitive, thanks for the feedback and kind words!
Nice game. I've got some vibes about the essence of keeping plants alive here :p
I didn't get how to handle controls when starting the game. Then when I got it I found difficult to use controls as the keys are far from each others.
The game loop is interesting tho, I can compare it somehow at Overcooked. Nice job :)
We tried to convey our experience at (bad) plant keepers the best we could haha
I agree with you, we did run out out time to make a quick tutorial or to add plants progressively, and we're not fully conviced by our controls. We'll definitely be working on that later! Thanks for the feedbacks, very useful and much appreciated!
Really creative approach to the theme, I love how plants signal to this guy what they need, and maybe with some more work into the game you could make something larger, but other than that, this is a fun and relaxing game
Thanks for playing! We're definitely going to work more on this game afterwards. Thank you for kind words and feedback!
Cool simple idea, pretty nice name
little difficult gameplay
overall good work!!
I liked it, some plants were really difficult and I found myself internally screaming at the gardener to come take care of the plant because it was going to die! At first, I was confused by the controls but luckily I figured it out relatively quickly. Well done!
Cute take on the theme, with great art! It does get a bit repetitive after a while, though, since the two most finicky plants died (and I kind of feel like they weren't necessarily ever saveable?) and then I had no trouble taking care of the remaining three forever. If your goal was to end up with a relaxing, mildly meditative state at the end, that's great! But if you'd like for the game to have progression/an end, maybe having the gardener take longer between each visit as the game progresses would help?
Hope you keep working on this to give it more mechanics/progression in the future :)
I really enjoyed playing this; what a lovely game! A few scattered thoughts:
Thank you so much for sharing, and great work! :)
i love the graphics!! the houseplants feel so cosy! i feel bad for letting some of the plants die tho
I am stunned, I love this cute game!
Thank you for playing and for your kind words, we appreciate it!
Nice concept with a very enjoyable soundtrack, well done :)
The gameplay is a bit repetitive tho
That is such a cute and relaxing game!
Thank you, that's so nice!
This was so cute and relaxing! I love the change in perspective, my plants were trying to communicate their needs with me this whole time! I would love to play an expanded version of this at some point, maybe with more types of plants or more ways to signal problems?
They were, we just have to listen better to keep them alive!! Well I hope so, too many died on me already :(
We'll probably try to expand the game later with better controls, balance and situations. Thanks a lot for the feedback and kind words, helps a lot for the motivation! :)
Nice plant sim. Love the art style. It leafs a good impression. ^_^
Now I understand why my plants are dying. I loved the controls for this, really intuitive and the way the plants grow a little bit when I select them made it really easy to not look down at my keyboard. Also, was the gardener based on the main character from One Piece? Having such a weirdly buff gardener with an open shirt was really funny :)
All this time, they were just trying to communicate with us :( Thanks so much for the feedbacks! In an alternated universe, Luffy is a buff hot gardener trying to take care of his small balcony. Glad you liked our character haha
As someone who constantly manages to kill cacti, I can understand how challenging game development can be. But despite the difficulties, it's incredibly fun and enjoyable. I really love it!
