A very cute game. I loved the concept of the cat holding the bird, although I found the "game over" from when you falling to high a bit harsh. Even the first level I had to restart because of this. But maybe that's only my fault. Anyway your guitar playing was great and maybe improve a bit your grafics.
I had very much fun playing this game. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback - the game is designed so that steep jumps with birdie aren't necessary, this can already happen in the first level and we thought this might be a good opportunity to teach the player this. The guitar and the best graphics are made by my friend, I helped out with the remaining graphics when we were very close to the deadline, so not all turned out perfectly unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed the game nevertheless!
The concept is brilliant. How can you not love a teary-eyed Garfield taking care of an injured bird?
The platforming could have used a bit more hints. It took me some time to figure out that you could jump higher without the bird. Also it wasn't immediately apparent that I could jump on the back of the chair in the first room. Other than that, the puzzles felt intuitive.
I got stuck at the end of the first room though. I passed the girl with the television, opened the door and went inside with the bird, but the game wasn't progressing. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? Would really like to finish this.
Thanks for your feedback! Definitely a few things aren't very intuitive in how they are explained, my friend and I were talking as well - with a bit more time, we would have been able to teach the player more things, but on Sunday we were just rushing to get all the assets and last bit of programming done.
If in the living room you passed by the girl with birdie, you did everything perfectly. This is also one thing that isn't very obvious, you need to leave birdie close to the door, because if you jump on the door handle from the sofa (without birdie) the door opens for a brief moment and you can pass.
Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Appreciate it!
Haha one of the few times I poo pooed in a game haha. Awesome adventure and super unique idea for the theme :D please check out mine when you have time~
Happy you liked it! Already played your game, really good as well!
Very cute! <3 And so accurate xD I really like this game =D
Really cool game, very emotional and charming characters.
I loved the music and the art style, I do have 2 cats so I can relate to the lady cleaning the poop every time the need me to look away LOL.
Great job
Great concept. Lots of potential for some clever environmental puzzle design. Well done.
I liked the game, congratulations!
Interesting concept and cute design on the cat. I think a few more clues to help with the puzzles and getting rid of the fall damage with the bird would make it a bit less frustrating. Good work overall.
Cute game! It was challenging finding the way through the levels, I like the idea and trying to figure out the way, nice work!
I don't like how the bird dies basically if the cat breathes around it, but this is also a bird that's been mauled by a cat. Still, fall damage? When it's in your mouth? That's a bit much.
I do like the inventiveness of some of the puzzles, and they do actually make sense. I just wish that there was some kind of animation of someone looking at you if you're scoping the place out before bringing birdie with you. That way, I can get a sense of who will actually notice me and how far I should stay from them.
Really nice idea! Really cute! Plus I think we all want to believe that cats have feelings :D
Really nice game!! I struggled a bit trying to find out what should I do on each level, but I think that's fine. Congrats!
Knúria is adorable. Birdie felt a little too punishing, sometimes, but really sweet premise, and a fun figure-it-out-on-your-own puzzle! Well done!
This is a pretty cool concept, the story is sweet and there are some interesting mechanics, the fragility of the bird is perhaps too punishing and the puzzles are a bit obtuse at times, but, all in all it's fun and a solid entry, nice work!
Nice game, but sometimes level design was not too obvious. For example in the first room maybe play the animation of the women cleaning the box, when player walks in, so you have some clue, but you must still figure out, that you can trigger it. Just put some small hints throughout the whole game for the puzzles.
But overall it was fun and sometimes even funny. Good job.
This is nice! It has a sweet story and a good premise. I think the fragility of the bird could have been a little more forgiving, but overall you did great!
Loving the art & feel of the game! Great work on doing such a polished game!
This is a neat game! The story elements are nice and set up the gameplay well, and the art and music does a good job of building the atmosphere. The mechanics of carrying the bird around and hiding it are neat, although what did and didn't count as gentle felt a bit arbitrary and frustrating at times. The level design and puzzles are also really nice, and for the most part I was challenged without reaching the point of frustration. It would be nice to have an indicator as to what you can interact with as it was a bit difficult to tell at times, but the way the objects interact was cool and made for some interesting and humorous moments (the litterbox had me laughing out loud for a moment). I ended up getting stuck on the kitchen because I couldn't figure out how to get the bird across the space without getting detected, but everything up to that point was fun and charming. Well done!
Very sweet and surprisingly challenging :)
There has to be some prize for coding a functioning litter box. :-D
