Lots of fun with cute world and character designs. The shooting mechanics provide a really nice balance; I believe that the larger you are, the faster you shoot, but being larger also makes it harder to weave between attacks which is a nice self-balancing function. I wish there were a clearer visual indicator of my own health, and it would be cool to see some skill based movement abilities and maybe different pieces to collect with different effects. Great game, very fun core loop!

I loved the walking puzzle pieces!! They were too funny, haha. I also liked the death effects for the enemies, the way they sort of faded out. It made the game feel really unique and easy to understand the enemies' HP without cluttering up the map with lots of HP bars and the like. I thought the controls were good, though I would have preferred LMB instead of RMB (but this is just my personal preference) and the idea of picking up extra puzzle pieces to get a faster/stronger attack was really fun. I had a great time with this one!

By the way, we played your game on our stream tonight!

Thank you very much! It's always very cool to watch other people play my game!!

Animation of walking puzzles... funny stuff :D

The animations and overall presentation was nice. For some reason, I found the music really offputting. There was some delay in shooting from when I would click the right button.

I like the idea of building up this puzzle character as you play, pretty cool. I think an indicator that lets you know where the next piece is located would help a lot, since I found myself aimlessly wandering around searching.

This was more tense than I thought it would be! The music really added a tonne of atmosphere.

Hahaha, I liked the contrast of the characters. What are lasers to you if you can just jump past them like a ballerina. 🕺😁

I think using left click to shoot would be better. Also, I think we are able to finish the game without collecting any pieces. But animation and art was really cool. It was really fun to play.

Cool Walking animation and really "connected" to the theme ( :D :D). One concern was having to click right button instead of left to shoot. Intuitively I try shooting by left click but that could be a designer choice to make it deliberate. Good job though! Had a lot of fun trying to get to the third puzzle.

I like the idea of getting more powerful as you join more puzzle pieces together. The enemies getting harder to see as you wittle their health down is great. There reaches a point where there are so many enemies and they all bunch up close together making it really tough to back track. This game has a lot of potential!

Great job! The red enemies closing in definitely gave me a good sense of danger and in my first playthrough they got me! nice job! Was luckily able to make it tot he end on the second playthrough! Another option to a minimap could be a counter telling you how many blue pieces there are to find so you have some sense of your progressions through the game!

The game looks really nice, but i think there are way too many enemies and as said in other comments, a mini map would make this  game a bit better. Great work though!

Cool animations. As stated in other comments, a mini map would really suit this game. Good work.

Really feel like it needs a mini map I had no idea where I was most of the time. Love how you connected this kind of game to the theme using puzzle pieces!

Submitted

Easy to understand, the controls feel good. Maybe a map to discover or some clues could lead you to next puzzle pieces. Nice tho' congratz !

Great game, I really liked it. as kenjik said, more blue pieces would be nice, but I really liked it and its mind blowing how you created it in 48 hours.

Really neat controls and pleasing visuals, good job! However, I would consider adding more blue pieces to find as it can get annoying to wander around without finding anything. Nonetheless, great work!

No SFX though

like mark said you really don't have physically join some thing to fit the jam theme, any way nice game

i love the animations and the idea of using puzzle pieces so you grow bigger and it becomes more difficult :D using the right mouse button is a little less intuitive (and more difficult for trackpad users :p) but otherwise, it's great fun!
