@crom @romap very nice puzzle game, second one took me around 4 minutes to figure out. you should continue working on it after the jam :D I simply loved it.

Really impressed with how many levels there are, considering both the quality of the level designs and the 48hr time limit! Graphics are easily understandable at a glance, I knew what I was doing pretty much immediately (eg skull marks  = damage to player character, etc). Also impressed with the pathfinding AI, the way the character will automatically find the shortest route which made it interesting to try and avoid enemies, etc. Also liked the sound effects, haha!! Great game, would love to see more in future!

By the way, we played your game on our stream!

ありがとうございました!!!

And thank you so much for playing our video game on stream !That's my first time seeing someone playing my game on Twitch and it meant a lot for me!It was really cool watching you having fun on our game, you should give a try to the last levels as they introduced the most interesting game mechanics in my opinion !

We'll definitely give it another look later today :D

I like the game. I think you did well with the game, nice job.

I find it difficult to review this one because I'm personally not a fan of it but I'm pretty sure it's just not my thing. It would be nice if you are allowed to move the tiles after having placed them, but maybe that just shows that I take on too much of a trial-and-error approach. I do feel the connection to the theme is also not very solid.

I also think you should let the player know skulls just take away one life since the first time you see them you could just think you have to avoid them altogether and not get to a solution.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game and taking the time to give us our feedback.

So!
- If we had more time we would have allowed to move the tiles after placing them, as long as they don't connect the hero to a point of interest (tiles would then be locked ). I'm working on it at the moment!

- On the connection with the theme, our idea was as follow: We wanted to avoid the idea of connecting characters/objects  and try to find something else to 'join'. That's how we came up with this idea: rather than joining elements inside the level, player should join the level itself together. That's why the skeleton enemies are on the tiles: player is not supposed to put together pieces to cross the level but to put together the level itself, enemies included, in such a way the character can reach the exit. If this idea may not appeared fully fleshed out, I think there is room for experimentation here.

Again, thanks for your comment!

This is very cool! Has some really good level design, which really make you think about your placements and how It will affect your future path. Some simple polish like being able to pull pieces back in between parts would be helpful.  Introduced new mechanics at a great pace, and they all changed the levels in a good way! This has a lot of potential!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback ! :)

Repositioning pieces was definitely on the roadmap, but we were in a rush before the deadline ^^

Good game, kept me entertained for a long while! Interesting design

Pretty cool, took me a while to solve some of these! I wish the roguelite elements would show up a little bit earlier, I think they add a lot. I understand pacing and progression though, good job!

I really like this take on tetris and has some really good puzzles that confused me at times

Submitted(+1)

I don't see how it's a rogue like but its fun

Developer

you are quite right actually,

By  'rogue like', we rather meant 'dungeon crawler with bad 2d graphic', not the perma-death thing,
With more time we would have gone for a retro visual style close to the first diablo, but where the objects and interaction would have been those of the original rogue game.

Sound effects were on point

Developer

they were fun to make :)

Fun little puzzle game with original concept! I think that the character need a better sprite. Big shout out for the sound effect, they are AMAZING!!!

Developer

With a bit more time, we would probably have made decent character and monster sprites, with basic animations. Curiously the sound effects only took a few minutes to record ^^
