Really like the idea and the art.

I have to say that I liked the innovative idea and the beautiful way this game was put together

really cool game and well done! It might be better if in the earlier levels, the enemies moved slower that way you can plan a little more and get used to the game. Then in the later rounds you can increase the speed and make it more difficult. Great work!

Amazing art, cunning design and flawless execution, but it is held back quite a lot by the lack of audio. A good choice of soundtrack (even from somewhere like opengameart) can make replaying it over and over more fun, and crunchy SFX can make the slaying of foes all the more rewarding. Still, it's really impressive what you managed to do in just 48 hours, it's really polished.

This is a fantastic idea and I love the risk/reward of placing lots of bullets. Really had a lot of fun. My only feedback is that I wish I had a little more life.

Really fun game with interesting mechanics! Congrats! The art is really good. Too bad there wasn't enough time for SFX.

Really unique idea. Great stuff.

That is a really nice idea. Loved the gameplay and art. Was imagining sfx by my own because the game would have been even more fun with those

Really creative idea!  I like how the bullets can be hijacked by enemies, giving the player a trade off -- they can create a big bullet chain for a powerful attack with increased risk of the enemies getting to it, or opt for shorter bullet chains with less risk.  My one critique is that the stage felt kind of small; I found it difficult to dash safely to get away from enemies or fire shots without dashing into enemies.  The aesthetic of the game is really nice and fitting.  Overall good work!

The idea is really great! Hopefully with a bit more work there can be levels of some kind, congrats! <3

Love the idea, the execution is pretty fun, and the presentation is great! Though its flow is a bit broken up.

The idea of laying out your shots in greater and greater number and then unleashing a salvo before the enemies send it back at you is a fantastic idea, but, with all the shots moving in one direction and enemies coming from all directions I feel it sort of de-incentivizes the player from actually building up long chains, perhaps instead shots could fire off in the direction of the closest enemy or launch out away from the player, the first would probably feel better from a power perspective, but, could be a bit much depending on what you're going for with the feel of the game, the second would have more strategy to it, but, also require more from the player to really get a lot out of it.

Though if firing in a singular direction is the real aim and feel, perhaps instead the projectiles could fire in the opposite direction to your dash, sort of launching them back away from you, as currently if enemies get too close there is not really a way to deal with them, this may also make the projectiles feel like they are being launched with more force due to the player sort of being "knocked back".

All in all, I think the concept is spectacular and it'd be really cool to see where you'd take it if you plan on continuing to develop it. Great entry and fantastic work!

We really enjoyed the risk element of lining up bullets but in order to fire them having to dash towards the enemies. Makes for some challenging moments if you don't set up your bullets well. We would be really interested in seeing this idea expanded on with more levels and enemy types. My some interesting environment hazards or tiles the change the bullet direction when it passed over them would be cool

It's a really fun idea. I would love to see it become full game metroidvania some day.

Interesting game! there's a subtle risk/reward with the ammount of bullet you place before shooting. Dashing with the shot did get me killed a lot though since you usually want to dash toward the enemy to direct the bullets. Not sure if that was intended risk but it felt a bit undortunate. Still, I think this was a great concept and execution, it looks good and was fun.  Good going!

Fun concept! I liked the idea of chaining together bullets in a risk/reward type of set up. The art looked great and the score counter in the middle of the floor was cool.

If you wanted to improve, I suggest adding some sort of score multiplier to the bullets or increase their power some and introduce way harder enemies. The system is supper fun and adding some form of positive reinforcement for using the mechanic would be amazing!

Overall, good work! Check out my game if you get a chance!

Good looking game, well polished.
Sadly the move 'n' shoot mechanic doesn't really work, though it looked really nice. The concept is good, the universe and Art seems cool, but the gameplay needs some rework ;)

Good concept! It fits the theme well :)

hmm, i don't really see how chaining bullets is useful compared to just shooting. i didn't like how the dash is joined with shooting, i kept dashing to enemies. also too bad there's no audio.

This is a creative take on being "joined together", but I feel like you get all you can get out of this game in about five minutes. Which, I guess, is fine for a jam, but maybe having some different level layouts or different rooms to travel to would help give the game a bit of purpose. Or just something to occasionally change the status quo beyond just more monsters appearing.

Also, I do feel weird about the bullets travelling in the same direction as my dash, as it often has me careening directly into enemies. If your goal is to create that kind of risk/reward scenario, that's fine, but maybe have the bullets move faster than your dash so they are ahead of you and hit the monsters before you would help make the game more forgiving. Otherwise, try having them go in the opposite way from the dash so the monsters can kinda "eat your dust!"

One small thing I do want to thank you for is the initial delay before sending monsters out at the start of the game. You added just enough time to kinda play with the bullets and try them out before the monsters appear, and that is a really nice touch for at least getting players started on the right foot!

Interesting concept. I think the mechanics need a bit of work to really "flow", right now it feels a bit more like a proof of concept than a game. But I think you got something there and with some tweaks, power ups, enemies etc. I can see this turning into a neat little shooter. The pixel art is really crisp and well made, very impressive job for 48h!
