I love this, just the description alone had me laughing. Great concept and extremely well implemented. The controls are really wonky and hard to get ahold off but it can be, barely, controlled. I do find the infection rate might be happening a bit too fast, especially given the length of time required to collect an item, the small bubble and the length of trails left by the other shoppers. A bit of play testing there will balance this nicely and make an awesome game :)

How does your game fit the theme?
The trolley is out of control and none of the shoppers are social distancing, you need to collect your essentials and get out of the shop without getting infected by a growing number of infected shoppers collecting their own essentials

Hey thanks for the feedback, we've had a bit of time over the week to listen to feedback and do some of our own play testing and have made a few changes for a post-jam update. Controls are a lot more predictable and the infection rate has been tones down, items are now collected automatically whilst you are in range and other shoppers masks now actually reduce their infection radius. With regards to the infection trails, those won't actually infect you in the jam version and are purely cosmetic (same in the update) but instead other shoppers will cough on occasion and leave clouds that ARE infectious.
Appreciate you taking the time to play this version and leave some feedback though as it helps us narrow down on what works/doesn't and what we can do better for our next jam.
It's a really fun concept, and feels quite dense with content considering the 48h time limit. The controls are a little hard to control though. Well done!
Hey, thanks for stopping by the stream last night, I rated just now and the VOD is posted here if you're interested:
Well obviously this is just a simulator of real life with all the people ignoring rules while shopping! Fun game though, it was pretty neat to get used to the controls. Still didn't beat it but I got pretty close, just had to spin to dodge all the people.
Reminds me of when I was a kid and would try to skate on the trolleys. Then I got cornered by 4 shoppers and die. 10/10
Hey thanks for the feedback, watched your Stream back and was good to see you seemed to enjoy it.
A lot of your feedback on there matched up with what others were saying and we'll be sure to upload an update after the jam ends addressing most of the issues highlighted from all the feedback.
Thanks for checking it out and taking the time to comment.
I liked the concept and the theme is well utilized.
It feels like a strong base for an interesting game and I would love to see how it can develop further!
The little descriptions for the items were a nice touch ! The area/conditions for collecting were a little bit unclear. Otherwise, i did not had much problems with the controls, i understand what you were going for
I has a hard time with the controls. But the the diversity of shopping list and characters was gut implementation!!
Very good way to get out of control! It is very entertaining when you realize the chaos haha, at one point you do not pay much attention to the shopping list and it can improve with changing it since you already know how things are distributed and what you should buy. Very good music and visual effects: 3
Hey thank you for taking the time to try our game and leave a comment, I'm glad you liked the visuals and music (We'll be adding more later). The longer you are in the store the more customers will enter and it should get out of control pretty quickly adding just the right amount of chaos.
The shopping list actually changes with each playthrough as does the products placement, we'll probably add a visual indicator when you get close to something that's on your list to make it slightly less chaotic finding your items and allow more time to focus on avoiding other shoppers.
With a different list and a different store layout each time, it can be a stressful experience, doubly so when coupled with an uncontrolable shopping cart. It fits the theme very well of course, but feels more frustrating as a result.
Ambitious and clever, with some of the other shoppers obeying the physics of the game and a control on how difficult the game can be this could be truly great.
Thanks for the feedback, we originally had the other shoppers being affected by physics but it felt too chaotic being bashed out of the way anytime another shopper came close, didn't want to frustrate the player too much since the trolley controls do that pretty well on their own.
We've made some changes (and fixed a few quality of life issues) and will update it after the Jam judging period is over.
Had a really rough time finding my way around the supermarket, couldn't really find anything and it seemed like I'd just get infected no matter what I did. Anyway, then I got home and played your game.
Bahahahah - I failed hard in the game but it's a hard one for sure - congrats on the submission!
This reply made me laugh a little, Thanks for the feedback - Once we're able to update we've got a few things added that should make it a little more easier to find things/collect things. It was our first time working to a 48 hour deadline and we missed a few targets but are overall quite happy with the results :)
