Great entry! Really nice concept and theme implementation. Great art style and aesthetic too.
Only constructive feedback is that perhaps the game window is too 'busy'? Maybe tone down the effects around the edge of the screen? Perhaps reduce the contrast of the background relative to the dropped items. Or give the dropped items an outline to differentiate them from the background?
These are minor nitpicks though, the game is excellent, well done and good luck in the rest of the jam!
An outline on the items was actually in the original plan, but I forgot and then decided I liked it without them. I’ve gotten some mixed feedback on the effects and wish I’d made them toggleable in the settings. Anyway, glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the feedback!
Simple yet difficult, and slightly addictive. That leaderboard definitely had me trying a bunch to get higher and higher, but don't think I can beat that #1 spot.
This game is kinda difficult for me, but despite that I had a lot of fun trying to get a higher score. The art is really great and the music fits very well. Awesome entry!
I find this game annoyingly addictive. I keep wanting to play to go for the high score. Look great and fits the theme perfectly, great job.
:D I’m glad you like it! I’m sure you know I love your game too by now.
This is one of my favourites this round. The art is really great, I like how the shapes and weights play into the game and give different points. I like the multiplier which I assume relates to the height, the ability to rotate stuff and there's an audience meter and leaderboard. This is amazing!
That's really nice :D! Your game was super fun too!
Really nice work, super nicely polished with addictive gameplay :)
Great entry, a lot of fun.
well executed! great job, very clean and well done!
Great concept, well executed, good job!
You really got the more is more nailed here. Spectacle, too. Very fun in an extremely chaotic way. Great entry!
We used the same music (but what is best for circus game ?). Game is fun, really random with the objects you can have simpler run with lots of big objets. The sprites are really cool and the overall circus ambiance is well done. Congrats !
Very polished piece of work, sound and well! Leaderboard, and certainly a unique idea. My best score though was just by spamming the drop key until the inevitable elephant shows up in the room, but hey, that just makes it feel a bit more arcade-y! Unless I’m totally missing the skill part cuz I don’t know how people are getting 2K and higher hah. Nice work.
It's definitely tough😅, and there can certainly be major luck elements at times. There is a strategy you can nail down, however, to increase your odds. Not sure how I got 2K and have been unable to repeat it, though, but I usually do pretty well.
Loved the art style and audio design. Some really high scores on the board already, wonder who will have the high score by the end of the voting period :)
Nice work!
Thanks for the praise! I’ve played + rated most of the games submitted already and yours stood out as super polished and unique, too.
Great sprites and lettering. I also think the stacking game is a great take on 'more is more.' The particle effect on the edge of the screen did seem a little out of place. Maybe if it was only on the bottom of the screen it would look like the audience.
Thanks! I've certainly gotten mixed feedback on the particles, I personally like them. Maybe it would have been a good idea to make them toggleable in the settings.
Fun game, I liked the elephant.
Cool little arcade game! I do wish it showed the next item that is coming out, to be able to plan a little bit. The juice was all pretty nice too, everything felt smooth to use. Great entry!
