Thanks for the kind words!
Interesting, someone finally put up a good score. This might be better than any of my scores from testing, I think I was getting into the 11k range. I will have to see if I can beat this score.
Overall really fun mini‑games with a great art style and clean UI. You hit every voting criteria.
My only small critique is that a few of the games could’ve used a bit more challenge, and I found myself wishing I could choose the order of the minigames, though I get why you ordered it the way you did.
Fantastic work.
There’s definitely a learning curve, but once everything clicked it started to get interesting. The aesthetics are great, and the audio was perfect. Watching your progress on Discord really got me thinking, I never considered building the entire backend first and layering the rest on top. I might have to try that approach myself if I tackle another numbers heavy game in the future. One of my favorites so far, I will have to come back to this to see what I have missed.
I appreciate any feedback, always looking to improve. It was just a casual game before I added all the chaotic QTEs. Maybe some kind of adaptive soundtrack would work for this game, something to match the clam to hectic gameplay. You just give me another idea to add more polish.
Thanks so much, it means a lot.
This is disappointing, that would have been first place. I can still see the leaderboard on the site and the Hero Forge leaderboard is still working. Unfortunately, I will have to wait until after the voting period to fix it.
I actually considered adding sound for the gem pickup but thought it might be too much since at the end of the game you are constantly picking up gems. I might try adding it just to see how it works out.
Thank you for playing and the kind words!
Interesting game play idea here. On my first play through I only had about 200 something deaths and then on my second play I had about 20,000 deaths. I kind of just found myself quickly grabbing which ever agent I could for missions, because I did not really have the time to check stats.
Might I suggest pausing the timer during agent selection/purchasing or maybe even color coding the stats/adding icons to stats, so a that player can see them at a glance. Also, the mission status kept getting in the way, maybe have them dissappear after a few seconds on their own, as I was unable to click the missions through them.
There’s definitely potential here and I’d like to see more. I enjoyed playing.
I did not even attempt to balance the balatrolike gameplay in any way, I’m sure it’s very solvable with some luck. Once I got it working, I just focused on character creator. Depending on the next round’s task, I have a few completely different ideas about where to take the gameplay.
Thanks for the playthrough.
