I thought the color palette and sprites were very consistent. If I had to make a vote for something to consider for future versions, it would be to spend some more time on the hero sprite and animations. But very progress for a 2 week jam!

I really liked how destructible the terrain was! I did think the player moved a bit fast, and the camera was a bit odd, I think having it do a weighted average with the mouse position would've helped to smooth it out while helping to show what was coming up. I liked the shop system too, cool entry!

Love the palette and the art. The action and juice were also great. Oh, and the upgrades kept things feeling fresh. Loved this one.

I like how the game gets more chaotic with each level, it is extremely fun to play after all the gun upgrades. The graphics are pretty nice too. Well done!

Nice simple art style and color palette. It was fun upgrading everything and then getting to rain down destruction on the level.

Really enjoyed this one! The art turned out great, and the use of particles makes shooting feel fantastic. You're a bit evil with that sneaky enemy placement right by the door though, haha!

Really fun game, totally love the amount of destruction possible and how the coins and gems roll and fall down, even the debris can be moved which is super cool. Not sure if crouch is needed in the game but it doesn't hurt having it in, I think it could be better if it was made into a cheap upgrade and using S rather than CRTL. I would prefer to jump with W rather than space and also to be able to shoot while jumping. Including more non destructible blocks like you have under the doors could be good and if they were in a different colour. Sorry if it comes across as being too critical, I really do like what you've created and think this is one of the best games in the jam, also I completed the game 2 times, it's awesome!

Thank you, those are all very valid points. Crouch is something I implemented, thinking the player might want to sink down faster, but ultimately the levels are too small and the enemies don't lend themselves to using that sort of movement. It also isn't really needed otherwise, since the player will always fit in gaps regardless. 

Rebinding keys would be something I should have added if it wasn't for the time constraint (and my wish to create all code by myself rather than use others assets), but there are so many spots where I wanted to do more polish and ultimately add more content... That's jams for you haha!

I am really glad you enjoyed the game, even so much so that you went for another run!

Since I was livestreaming the progress and had a few people test the game for bugs for me, I was thinking I'd let a bunch of folks just draw maps (they are PNGs with colored pixels determining the map layout and placements) and add them as a selectable list, but I felt that would have gone against the overall idea of doing it as a sole developer!

Really Great job! That was super satisfying to play and the last level was amazing! It was a nice twist after endlessly shooting to then need to conserve my ammo to make sure platforms are available! Really enjoyable!

Haha, yeah the last level had an interesting twist that wasn't even intended, it was mostly intended to be a vertical twist, but the fact that the terrain would be destroyed added to the challenge! Thank you for playing it and the kind words!

I really liked this one!  The art was simple, but worked together really well, and there was a lot of juice.  Having trails behind bullets and enemy projectiles was a really good call to keep track of everything visually.  My only advice would be to not have the player get sucked into the doors automatically.  I can be a bummer to run into the door on accident and miss out on a lot of gems.  Great job, though!

The automatic door thing is definitely something that someone else brought up during playtesting, but I was hesitant to add another button to go into the door, in fear that players would get confused how to enter. If I had a bit more time, having an input icon bounce above the exit to teach the player would have been the way to go I think! 

The palette limitation really helped me to keep the art consistent and if I go pixel art with other projects, I will most certainly make use of a palette like this!
