Wow, impressive game, even though it is turn based, I felt it really dynamic and at some point I was like doing actions super fast. Also, I really like these kind of games so I was super engaged playing it. Music, graphics and great gameplay. The only thing I notice is that it felt a bit like a puzzle at some point, like there were not many options to win than perform the proper actions in the proper order, I suppose that might be related with the 1 dimension of the game, I also suppose there are ways to mitigate that like performing more deep actions like switch positions or stuff like that, dunno. Anyways, one of the best jam games I played.

Really excellent work!  It took me a couple rounds to get a feel for what was going on, but once it clicked it was really enjoyable!  I like how new elements were introduced, both through the player and the enemies, and every stage felt really fairly balanced.

Nicely done!

Thanks for playing! I agree, Keyslam did an excellent job with the overall design. It flowed very nicely. Admittedly I had trouble with the double cactus stage and had to ask for help xD

Honestly, this is a polished and great game for the time allotted! I had a lot of fun with it, and found it very unique. You scaled the difficulty well for me. I thought the first level was a good tutorial level. Congrats and great work!

Gameplays it's nice and enjoyable really, interactive tutorial alongside first couple of levels would be maybe better but I got along like this just fine. Good job!

this is a great i dea and would be cool as a battle system in an rpg. love the color changing

This was actually one of the first I played, but meant to leave a comment. (It was the night of submissions so I was wiped :P).

Came back to play again... and dang, I love it even more the second time!

Your use of the colors... to add depth and for everything to read clearly is remarkable. That is a lot of info, and it all reads so well. I think this one had some of the best use of the 4-color palette in the jam. The art, animation, sound and music are just fantastic!! I'm blown away by how much you were able to pack into a jam game. It's a bit mind-boggling. And all so polished. (I love the music on the second stage too).

When I first played, it took me a sec to realize I needed a second 'press' to activate the choice. So for a bit, i just sat there waiting for the game.. then realized I needed to press it again. But once I got past that, the pacing felt a lot better :D  I loved the strategy behind it. And the constant upgrades and variety to keep things interesting and constantly progressing. (Again, I don't know how you pulled it off) :P.

Also... the fact I could play it all seamlessly on controller really added to the GB feel and made it so enjoyable. So good!!

Incredible job!! This is one I'll keep coming back to play just for fun.

Took a little while to figure out but totally hooked me. My only feedback would be that the cooldown HUD was a little hard to read, I dunno if I ever figured out how to read it lol I just kind a tried moves until they worked or I developed a sense of "i cant used that i cuz i just used it".

Anyway that's a very small nitpicky thing, great job all around!

Couldn't run the native linux version on my Fedora setup but the Windows one ran fine under Wine. Really great game all round. Some strategy involved which I like

Amazing! There's so much variety in the enemies, the levels, the moves. The art is great, the sound and music is great.

Well done!

I really loved the controls and how to navigate. The gameplay was incredibly fun, and the music hit the mark. And the “Switch Palette” thing is just a great plus.

Glad you liked the music!

Very solid game. The controls are very well streamlined, so many  actions  to choose but it's very convenient. Good stuff!
