Fun little space shooter. The humour came through with the sound effects and overall vibe. I liked the graphics and the UI. The AI was a bit easy. Nice job

Developer

Thank you!

This is a funny game with a really good sense of humour! Well done!

Developer

Thanks! Besides shipping a game, showing our sense of humor was a top goal.

Submitted(+1)

This looks promising, might be even fun in multiplayer. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Multiplayer has been the most fun. Based on feedback I've been considering a 4 player free for all. Thanks for taking the time to play it!

Submitted(+1)

Probably more fun in multiplayer. I think the rotation speed could be a bit faster. I liked the faction designs.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback. To help with the rotation speed change were you on controller or keyboard?

Submitted

Keyboard

i love that you guys made a multiplayer game!! i played it against myself to test the vibe and it was so fun! great job!

Developer

Glad to hear that. Its more fun as a couch multiplayer. But coding the AI, I learned a lot from it. Will be applying that to other games.

I like the art you made for the game. I enjoy the planet design, outer space and the UI icon you made to show the damage. Also i don't know if it was intentional or not but the sound for laser sounded very funny lol.  Ai could use some work but it came together nice and did run smoothly.

Developer

🤣 yes that was intentional. It's actually one of us saying "pew". We had other sounds but this made it funnier and added to the vibe we were going for.

Submitted

Ah cool because it was funny just sometime sound effect aren't meant but i guess it is. Good job on this :)

Great job!! Music reminds me Stranger Things!

Developer

Thank you!

Good job!

Reminds me of some of the classic arcade cabinets. It could certainly lead to a heated debate or two if playing locally!

Fun and works as intended, could do with a sprinkle more juice.

Best of luck

Developer

Thanks. Any suggestions juice? We are considering adding a few things after the jam.

4 player multiplayer probably

I think some exaggerated screenshake, and a blink/pulse material would work wonders for hits and damage events! You might even try a freeze frame on impact.

I think Streets of Rage has some really nice feedbacks to study. They get a lot done with a few neat tricks.

Best of luck!

I am not sure I beat the ai! :D Not my kind of game but definitively I know people who would love it. Simple and to the point!

Submitted(+1)

Funny small game, just one thing was unclear if I had won or lost (against AI), because both screen said "Game Over !"

Developer

That's a good point. It was designed initially for local versus. The AI was added later. The ship on the left is you. The archivist.

I guess this counts as a bug so I'll work on a fix for it.

gameplay, aesthetics and sound are good. Enemy is a bit tough at first (i managed to beat him eventually). all in all i would give it  PEW/10 :D

Developer

🤣

There was too much text at the start, which felt a bit frustrating. The gameplay was nice, and the AI behavior was really good — just a bit overpowered (or maybe I'm just getting old, haha). You might consider adding a free-for-all mode where everyone can fight each other. Overall, great job!

Developer

Thanks HusseinYousri. Appreciate the feedback about the text. Trying to balance the story but getting into the gameplay.

How many people were you thinking for the free for all mode? We can do 2 player 1v1 right now on keyboard or controller. I wonder if we could make the galaxy tinier and make it 4 players!

Submitted(+1)

tried the vs AI mode, it was nice. The bullets may be firing off center. The collisions between ships was cool.

Developer

Thanks Ernesto! I appreciate your feedback. I've been away from my computer since the submission, on vacation. I'll see if I can fix the bug for off center lasers.
