This was a fun little game. I didn't go too well for me but it was fun :D I like the art and music that you chose. Well done!!

Very nice! I've always liked Plants vs. Zombies, and you captured that same type of fun very effectively, especially for a jam game! Excellent work!!
What a fun little game to play! I'm not the best strategist, but it was fun enough for me to try and dispatch my soldiers as effectively as possible. Makes me sad every time my bee falls :') I failed to get past spring but I'm gonna try again!!
Very cute graphics and nice choice of music for this classic game.
Nice game! It took me a while to realize what the purpose of each purchasable item was, but solid game all the same! I think it would benefit from having some hotkey/shortcuts to select which item to build.
Itchio is having some issues when i try to attach a image so i'll have to do it with this instead: https://gyazo.com/481a7b4938a13e2ef54ae99afc878f85 (it's a tool i use for quickly sharing images, which then gives me a link for it). I think the text for the language selection drop-down bugs since it appears blurred.
I like that it has a continue button if you come back to the game, and about the gameplay i have a question: when a enemy makes it to the left side (the very last one where you can still place units) is there any way to hit the enemy in that same tile? The ones that started munching the blue thing, i didn't find any way to interrupt them.
Cheers, nice and fun game, and the art is ncie as well :D
Thanks for the feedback! We are aware of the drop down menu thing for the language selection, but we could not get it to work for the life of us... but we want to try to look into it to at least make it read-able and not blurry!
For your question, if you're fast enough, you should be able to put a tomato on that last square even if the enemy is on it, but otherwise, you're out of luck!
Turns out the font for that drop down menu changed without me realising so it made it blurry. The size of that drop down is also huge and I dont know why, I plan to address it after the jam. And, second point, originally there was intent for the honey jars to have two mechanics, and one of those is if an enemy is on the tile you're placing it, it would do damage, break and leave a honey trail. This would have helped the last tile use case, unfortunately I ran out of time to develop it for the jam. Thanks again for playing and feedback :D
Great idea <3 it was a fun gave me Plants vs Zombies vibes, I dig the art!
Interesting idea! I enjoyed playing the game :) I wish I had something like a lawnmower though haha
Interesting, liked the types of defense you could place and the oncoming enemies. The money coming in helped to be able to build things frequently so that was good. Overall, nice job on it!
Fun game, managed to complete all 4 levels; just the right amount of content. Easy to understand and very smooth experience. Really like the graphics.
Also reminded me of Plants vs Zombies mechanics wise; think I have practiced doing smth similar with one of the GameDev.TV courses :)
P.S. Coin farmers sound is still echoing in my head
I love how fun and polished this is! When the theme was first announced, i immediately thought of the Last Stand level in Plants vs. Zombies :P So i really enjoyed playing your game and loved how balanced and satisfying it is, tho I lost in Autumn :(((
A satisfying tower defense! I enjoyed building up a solid wall of beehaves to protect my army of money making farmers, so that I could eventually defeat all the invaders with the power of tomatoes! :D
Very solidly made, the only slight thing I noticed is that; if you click to place something which you don't have enough money for, it will still remain unbuildable once you can afford it. The icon remains highlighted and you have to un-select, then re-select it to place the tower down. A very minor thing over all.
Nice game. Never played a lane based tower defense before (though I am familiar with them) and I really enjoyed it. Might have to give PvZ a shot after this.
Adorable sprites, the animations are awesome <3 I could keep playing that
Pretty cool game, getting plants vs zombies vibes of course, tho I haven't played it. I suggest checking out "How I Got My Mom to Play Through Plants vs. Zombies" video on youtube, I really liked it. Sound effects and visuals were pleasing, I'd love to see some tooltip about what each building does and maybe enemy health. At first I felt that ground visuals were a bit noisy, but it wasn't an issue for me at all once I started playing.
Thanks so much for playing, the kind words and feedback! I will definitely watch through it, just searched and saw its a GDC so this should be really insightful (I actually expected a mum playing hahah). The tooltip is a great idea, or at least some indication of what they are, for sure. It does give me ideas to try :D! I can definitely see how the ground could be a bit noisy. There was a lot of learning during the jam to get a balance of detail without being too much. My partner, who did the art, has only started learning pixel art 2-3 weeks ago (her first game ever), and so still figuring what works best ^.^
Thanks again for the kind words, makes us happy to hear you love it! I agree, the balance of coin generation is out. I made the mistake of implementing the coin and cost components last, and left us short to fine tune a lot of things around that concept. Once the voting is done, I want to revisit the tuning and add some features so it feels better balanced ^.^
