I love space shooter games, there are a lot of room to improve but it's already a good foundation.

Developer

Definitely a lot of stuff I would like to go back and restart from the ground up with a different angle. Thank you for the comments!

Nice game! I really liked the art and music!

Developer

Thanks!

Tried to play it but it wouldn't load, just stayed with an open bar. Videos looked great though

Developer

Sorry to hear that! I've been hearing some OS's and browsers might be having oddities but couldn't replicate with chrome or firefox on a windows machine. I do have optional downloads for Win, Mac, and Linux though if you would like to give it a try. Appreciate you stopping by!

Great game, with awesome soundtrack, congratulations! :) However, the map could be a little more smaller, it takes too much time to get to the station. Also, player range could be shortened, because right now I can kill the boss without it actually appearing on screen.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! The range could probably be made a little shorter. Distance wise I think the planets might start to collide if they were closer..lol, its all procedurally created at run time.

Also, right now the enemies have no impact on the game. You can just jump back and forth the levels, because each time it generates from zero, so you can just farm meteors infinetly. I think it would be nice if you had to kill all enemies before leaving the level and they would not regenerate, to restrict abusing meteors. Maybe enemies could spawn near meteors too. All aside, I really like your work, it's absolutely fantastic for a gamejam game, so I hope you do not take my feedback in the wrong way :)

Love this game!  Great design of the planets and like the Nav indicators.  When I upgraded my ship's shields I didn't expect to need to "repair" the ship to get the additional shield bonus when my shield's were already full. Not sure if this was intentional or a bug.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The repair/shield upgrade was a recent change because Upgrading ended up being a better option then ever using the repair button :). Didn't think about that unintended side effect when shields were already full. Ill look into that.

A nice space harvesting-shooter entry! I once made a game like that myself, so I really enjoyed playing yours. Nice graphics and music that put you in the space ambiance!

This game looks gorgeous and is really fun! I love how the story is interesting and fits perfectly with the theme. Really nice work there, congrats ^-^

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Haha our game's backstories have a lot in common, nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! True about the backstories but completely different takes, I love it!

Well this was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed playing it :D
Big reminders of Free Lancer, Elite days :D

nice work!

There was a big purple triangle in the first system however? not sure why. you had to just fly away from it then it was fine?

Great game :)

Can you please vote on my game? :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, appreciate the comments! You are the second one to mention the purple triangle but I have still yet to figure out where its coming from. I will keep hunting!

This was a lot of fun. Keep fleshing it out and you have a full game right there. :D

Thanks!

Really good work here, had fun playing forgot I was playing because of the jam for a bit and was focused on what I was doing in the game. Improvements I that could be made I would say is the movement system is odd as you can travel backwards as fast as forwards etc, and I never used the repair button at a station as upgrading shields was so much more worth my credits so I would recommend balancing that somehow, maybe make the shield upgrade not restore shield? also maybe and a rate of fire upgrade or a weapon upgrade of some kind for more juicy gameplay. I cant say much on the dying mechanic as I only died once but when I did I was much more happy with my new ship so ill say its a great mechanic! >.< Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback and 100% agree on the shield vs repair function. I just added a new build where upgrade no longer repairs the shields!

This is pretty cool, I really like the planet graphics. Something that would have made this game something great is newtonian physics but given the timeframe and the scope you already have I understand that not everything can be top notch. A for effort!

Developer

Thanks and appreciate the feedback! The movement part is the one thing that has always bugged me with this project but definitely was too late in the week to redesign it. Definitely will do it differently the next time.

Nice work and commitment!

The game looks great, especially because of the big 3d planets showing some depth. Good job adding a lot of mechanics. I'd recommend making the points of interest closer together or letting you boost faster. Also making the player slow to a halt instead of stopping instantly will do a lot for game feel.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I just released a new build with the map 50% smaller so hopefully that will help! Would like to redo the entire player ship movement but ran out of time on it. Perhaps I can find a way to fake it for now. Thanks again!

Nice looking game. I would try to make it possible to use the warp gate with a key press instead off first unlocking the cursor

Developer

Thanks and appreciate the feedback. Warp gate key might be a good idea, ill see what the possibilities are.

Submitted

Agreed. Since you are using WASD to move, F is a natural key for "use" or "interact"

I really like how you made the map also the models for planets and other objects are high quality. Great work!

Developer

Thanks!

Good job! I really like what you did with the game and the compas is a feature that was implemented very well!

Some feedback:

  • I would like to move a little bit faster from one point to the next. Maybe initial speed could be faster.
  • The thruster sound could loop a little longer this way it repeats to often from the start.

Overall a very nice and satisfying game!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I just did a new build where the map is 50% smaller so perhaps that might help with moving between areas. I agree with the thruster sound, will need to review that. Thanks for the comments!

Very good job with all the detail that went into this. The levels, things to do, and I really liked the on-screen radar/locator.

The levels could be more compact, though. There's a lot of flying with nothing happening, everything is neatly put together. Perhaps the enemy ships can be placed or moving around randomly in the level just to harass the player and add some action in the flight.

At the starting point I was met with a big bad pink triangle under which the ship was hiding. It seems one material is broken in the WebGL version.

(running Firefox under Linux)

I get that space is big, but there is a bit too much empty space and long flying between those various points of interest.

The local "OSD map" that gives directions where to fly to was really useful... But it would be good, if there was a map screen of the local system as well...

Developer

Thanks for the comments and feedback! That is a really odd thing for it to do under Firefox. Ill keep an eye out for the issue. Did you try the downloadable Linux build and did it work any better?

I just did a new build with the map 50% smaller, hopefully that will help with the long distances. Map screen of the system would be kind of fun. May have to look into that.

Thanks again!
