Nice models and fun gameplay :D

Developer

Thank you!

Love your interpretation of the theme! Controlling was pretty troublesome as it seemed very sensitive to slopes. Also wish I could see more of a challenge whether it's AI or interesting obstacles.

Developer

Thank you! I know what you mean, I haven’t had time to fix it unfortunately. AI was planned, I may implement it after the jam.

Super fun! It was well made, and fit the theme really well. I also really liked the art. Good job!

Developer

Thank you!

Fun to play! Would have been great to have AI or multiplayer? Well done anyway

Developer

Thank you! Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to implement either, but I was hoping to have at least AI done. I will try to implement AI after the jam, might try multiplayer too.

Fun game, like that you can select your vehicle and course. Great job on the art as well :)

Developer

Thank you!

I wanted so much to finish the race!  but the buggy - when  facing the wall full on and if there is a bit of slope (? I think that's the issue?) got me  stuck.

Still Well done for the tremendous amount of work you have done. Props for the ambition - going for 3D with more than 3 races, and multiple cars! I'm impressed.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! Sorry you had issues, I know what you mean. I haven’t managed to fix it.

By the way, you can reset with R if you get stuck.

Completing games isn’t easy. Kudos to you for a good effort at a difficult game genre.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I hope I will finish my game for the next one.

The car models are great.

Developer

Thank you! That is good to hear, since my modelling skills are pretty bad, but I guess the details are not really that visible in the game.

Good effort in a difficult genre. Runs fine on a Chromebook. Well done!

Developer

Thank you!

Props for the ambition!

Love the ambition :) Did you make all the models in the game? Cool to see that the menus seem to properly use control nodes!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I did, but the game pretty much only has 3 models (you can find everything in the repository, including original blend files which models were exported from), rest is generated in the engine.

Thank you so much!

I gotta say, I did not expect to see a racing game in this game jam. I think if the car was a bit more difficult to flip and spin out, that the driving would've felt a bit more fun, but other than that it's pretty solid! I've never worked on a racing game myself, but I wonder how difficult making AI for the game would be. Racing against a decent AI would be pretty fun I think, or maybe racing against a ghost of myself in a time trial idk. Either way, good job tackling such a difficult genre!

Developer

Thank you! Initial plan was to have AI, then I reduced it to just ghost and well, in the end there is just this :D If I get back to the game, I will try these things, since this is a first for me, so I never really worked with AI.

Nice game but the ride was a bit more buggy as expected (also downloaded windows version). I tried to make some racing and pinball games in unity many years ago myself and your game reminded me of the same issues I had back then. I still liked driving around in your bug themed cars.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah, agreed, I think much more time was needed to properly tweak stuff.

Lot of work for one developer! Congrats!

I would suggest to add moving obstacles. But it is very fun to play!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! And thanks for the suggestion, I was not sure which direction I wanted to take the game, but that is an interesting one. If I ever get back to the game, I will definitely try it out.

Good entry! I liked the design of your cars. The controls are a little difficult to master.

Congrats

Developer

Thank you!

Nice game, with a nice interpretation of the “bug” theme. The graphics are good, and the manual control scheme feels like controlling an actual car!

Racing with this control scheme was really hard for me and I found myself using the reverse A LOT.

Would love to see more of the game in the future

Developer

Thank you so much! Great to hear that. Makes me want to continue working on the game after the jam :D

i liked the bugmobile that looked like an armored beetle xD bit tricky to get out of a slide in the middle car . gg

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, the idea was to make that one the drift prone one, but I guess I overdid it :D

Submitted(+1)

nice take on the theme, and actually nice physics! A hint for the track progress or an indication for the starting line could be helpful

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I agree, I have rushed the complete track progress logic, so I completely failed to add any indicators :D

Solid racing sim game, the physics are good and realistic (I suck at racing so I kept falling off the road). Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thank you!
