love the graphics <3 good job
I really liked the fluidity of the movements and attacks. It's kind of addictive.
Nice sidescroller, juicy effects and graphics. At first didn't click at all before I got the dash, which opened up the gameplay. Quite hectic start to learn how the game works.
Nice job! :)
Firstly I'd like to say well done and the art and the music and the overall aesthetic of the game, it looks and sounds very visually pleasing! One thing that I struggled with however was the pacing of the game as right off the bat I felt overwhelmed and I didn't have much feedback if I was damaging enemies. Some damage text to show you are dealing damage even would help.
I love the entry into the game, and the way the player spawns in is sweet! But a bit more of a moment to breathe when entering the level and some more visual cue feedback, and a gradual ramping up of difficulty can really help make it shine in my opinion!
Nice work on your entry and looking forward to seeing you do more with it if thats what you'd like!
Amazing game! I love the lighting and particle effects you have used! beautiful character designs as well! Found the game a little difficult as you are swarmed by enemies from the very start!
Nice game and audio! I was a bit struggling with the level, unfortunately. But the particles and animation super on point. Good Job
Nice game with a good ambiance.
Cool game! But I found it too hard XD
I loved the bug splash animation :)
I liked the artstyle, the music, and especially the special effects. Seeing bugs getting splattered from my punches and dashes, was hell lot of satisfying! The premise of the story was also good; huge fan of absurd stories like this!
But the gameplay could use some tweaking. The player gets thrown into action, and gets overwhelmed by the insects, a bit too quickly. My first few attempts lasted about less than 7 seconds or so, because I haven't had enough time to get use to the gameplay flow. Once I grabed the dash power up, and got to the platforms, I've sorta got the hang of it. Too bad that it seems to me, it is one of those games where the best strategy is to stand in one place and fight off the badies, as I did by standing on the low platforms, punching incoming foes until I'd get pushed off the platform.
The fighting mechanics could also use some improvement. It was hard for me to time out my attacks, because I couldn't tell their range, and I could not just get close to an enemy and start punching, as it didn't stun them or anything, and it also was hard to tell when they would attack you (they still could land a hit after getting pushed away). I found out that punching them and jumping away, was a good strategy, but the sheer amount of foes coming from the other side out of nowhere made that strategy less effective (dashing through the other side though was an improvement to my strategy, as dashing completely cleans anything in it's line. But after dashing, my character could still get hurt through means I could not notice).
Don't get me wrong; I don't mean by all of that, that the game is unfinished or unfun to play. On the contrary, after I got used to it's game mechanics, it was fun to play (albeit slightly clunky for reasons I've mentioned above), and as a whole, the game is rather good! I just thought that I might list out my feedback regarding the gameplay, so that it might get improved, or that you could use it in your other projects.
Very nice game and a lovely artstyle!
Nice Job! Cool graphics and music!
Fun game! Music slaps and gameplay feels really responsive
Cool game, like the concept and the bug blood splatter VFX. Who would have thought a marshmallow fed granny would be strong enough to one-punch a bug. I've been doing this all wrong, bye-bye leafy greens, yellow sweet marshmallows 😋
I love that you created your own pixel art - kudos to that! Also the splatter effect looks cool! The game and music is fast paced which I liked. I think there were too many bugs from the get go, and would benefit from an easier pace. Especially the bugs on the ground seem incredibly difficult to defeat without the dash attack. Fun!
Too many bugs!
Fun game and actually a lot more challenging than I anticipated. Good job!
Lol what a fun game! I love the glowy particles and silly premise :D Yes it’s hard, but that’s okay I had fun anyway :D
Interesting game !
Even though it looks hard in the first place, I like it this way !
The fact that there's a very little window to have the initiative on enemies (without getting attacked first) makes players try an alternative plan I guess
My meta was to rush the dash ability, then chill on a unreachable platform, wait for enemies to stack a bit, and then farm some of them with my dash, then come back safe again.
Though, there is an ability system, they have their UI, so I think this is a good demo and that it has the potential to scale (adding abilities, finishing a level, making some part of the generation random for replayability, etc..).
Nice visuals and sound but I felt the game was too hard. The bugs seemed to have as long or longer reach as the player and you could not seem to be able to bait attacks out, they would just hit. It seemed pretty impossible to actually fight them without getting hit.
Good job but I found it really hard to play, I died 237468726281 times :(
Maybe some healing on the way, some clue about the controls and a bar of progression (to see some light).
Thanks for the experience!
