I've made it to the final tile type a couple times now. :) I would like to ask: does making two of the final tile type combine and disappear, or do the tiles continue to accumulate in the playfield? Just curious what kind of playstyle to expect if I'm able to make it that far along.

(And I juuust stumbled into the fact that right click rotates the in-hand piece. :D Should have read the instructions first!)

The 10th piece keeps adding until you eventually lose, that was my take on the tetris gets faster arcade mechanic applied to this puzzle.

Cool, makes sense. :) It's a nice way to increase the difficulty of each loop and enforce an eventual ending, and feels cohesive with the rest of the tile dropping/merging mechanics.

Nice! The pieces are extremely pretty. I wonder how some extra controls to nudge the whole board (kinda like in pinball?)  would impact  the gameplay. I guess I'm saying this because the rigid hard shapes can result in some pretty unfortunate positions which can doom a run in the cramped space. (though I suppose that's part of the charm too!) Still obviously very solid work, with beautiful presentation!

I'm going to test it and see how it goes. Maybe limiting it to one nudge every x moves or something.

Really relaxing game that slowly gets frustrating (in a good way) as pieces get trapped at the bottom, really love the art and sound effects!

Love pretty much everything about this. Thought this would be just a blocky suika game, but some of the design decisions make it a lot more interesting than that. It looks, feels and sounds amazing and I played for way longer than I intended at first. Really well done.

It seems like a good combination of watermelon games and block stacking!

Very pretty game. The music adds to the relaxing and cozy vibe. I really like the tiles art.

I like it, right vibes and right mechanics, worked out really well, well polished and refined!

Submitted(+1)

it's surprising how well suika works with these squared/tiled shapes!  nice job :)

Cool vibes, and I was really surprised at how the new shapes altered the gameplay. As soon as I made my first pair of dominos and they stood up perfectly instead of falling into each other I let out a quiet "oh...!" and realized that the strategy of the game might be a little more involved than your average suika clone.

The presentation is nice, the music is soothing, the aesthetic is chill, overall I enjoyed it!!

i love anything with 2d physics; i'd like to see how it plays with the friction lowered?

unique submission with a different kind of fun. thanks for sharing!

Amazing entry. Very fun and well presented. I was wishing that the pieces could rotate more quickly before dropping. You could also add some powerup to kind of "shake up" the board a bit, sometimes it felt a bit static because of the square shapes. But overall, one of my favorite entries, quite addicting!

Oh it’s interesting that it’s by color and not by shape, I guess that probably makes things easier?

The music and sound effects are great, and totally fit the gameplay. I found it a bit weird that the blocks look like ceramic tiles, but have this jello-like animation.

Also, I alt-tabbed to write this review and I came back to this image.png

Haha, but it went back to normal after a bit, pretty harmless and fun bug.

Good job! Still trying to get the last 3 tiles

Weird bug, the game was made in Godot and the web builds tend to be a little bit unstable.
The jello feel it's because I already had that for the other similar game I'm making and just kept it because it makes it feel way better, it's just a visual thing because the physics are solid.

Good game. I really liked the suika vibe with the tetris twist.

Simple yet satisfying experience. The gameplay, combined with random rotation on the block, clinging sound, and square object is something experimental. And you guys can make it more addictive.

This is delightful. :) It is somehow simultaneously more organized and more chaotic than round item merging games.
