As you predicted, Forget-ris was my favorite, super intersting to play. But please, explain how sedem blokov works. Here is what the translator told me (for me, the description was not in english by default, is this normal? )

'Learn the secrets of the blocks and use their unique abilities, because without them you won't get any further.'

Can you provide more info?

And: thanks for the cool games! :D

Edit: Ok, i got so far: you have to hit space bar to activate special functions of the different blocks, since normal line breaks are not possible. The special power need some time to cool down before you can use them again. It seems like there are more powers to the blocks, which are locked...

Hey thanks for playing! I’m really happy that somebody actually tried to work out what the hell is going on in Sedem Blokov, that’s awesome :D Yes, the text is in Slovak on purpose. All I’ll say is that both the text and the game itself is just a joke/reference of another game, so that’s why it’s like that. People bouncing off and not understanding doesn’t surprise me, that’s actually part of it, but I’m really happy you gave it a fair shot haha. You basically got half-way there. Playing and using the available controls as in other game modes, you should discover the other half of those special functions. There might be a button you’re not using ;) Then it’s a matter of understanding what it actually does, learning what the icons represent and how the cooldown works.

I hope you don’t mind me not being explicit about it, and again appreciate you playing the game. I enjoy seeing what people can work out and how they bounce off :D

Gotcha, cool idea! The text not being in english seemed like a time management problem :D

Ok, now that i know that i know all that i need to know i will give it another try ;-)

And don't worry, i won't spoil anything!

Edit: starting to get it, got a 84, pretty nice!

Very fun takes on Tetris, each with a distinct vibe!

My favorite would absolutely be Forgetris, of which I have already seen a short glimpse on a Bluesky post. I imagined that I would like the forget mechanic, but what sold it to me entirely was the fact that a bit of memory comes back when lines are cleared! What a nice tension there!

Most of the other ones are either enjoyable or clever concepts that would be nice to see developed further. I also adored the absolute alien feel of Sedem Blokov, but I utterly failed on understanding what was going on there ^_^'

Hey thank you for playing and for the kind words! I’m really happy with Forgetris and it’s my personal favorite, too, so I’m glad to see some others share that opinion :) As for SB, it’s basically a joke I spent way too much time on and it is obtuse on purpose, so I don’t blame you haha :D

Wow. This is a really nice pack of Tetrises. Well done!

Thanks for checking it out!

This is really impressive, all the variations have their own vibe and could've easily been a standalone entry. Forget-ris is haunting, but the fact that some memory returns when you clear lines gives me hope. I kept losing in Vino Veritis in pursuit of a the highest possible score in a single clear. Twotris and Spinblox feel impossible to be decent at, but they made me laugh. The dropping through blocks mechanic in ZigZag was really interesting and made me want to leave holes in just the right shape. Widetris felt claustrophobic despite its horizontal space. And last but not least I feel like I understood maybe 20% of what was going on in Sedem Blokov.

Thank you so much for checking out all the games! Really appreciate it and glad to hear you had a good time. Means a lot <3

Great fun to mess around with for a bit, although I didn't bother trying to figure out the O piece one. I think it would work really nicely with some little achievements to accomplish to "beat" the game.  And a high score tracker for each mode.  Not sure how doable or worth that would be for this jam.

Unlike the first comment, I had no issue with the DAS and ARR because I usually set my DAS pretty low and ARR to 0.  But I remember how hard it was when I first started playing Tetris, so I feel their pain.

The menu was very creative and the different games were interesting. Felt a bit like trying out different games during a jam. A game jam experience inside of a jam game.
Great job!

Thank you for playing and for the kind words! You’re right about the little goals/achievements. As with many things in the game, I just ran out of time but this is something I meant to implement - even just a single goal for each game, as something to guide the player a little. If I return to the project later, this is at the top of my list, so I’m really glad you brought it up. I do save the high score, but you only see it on the game over screen. Forgot to add it to game selection UI :D

This is really funny! This blows my 2 in one out of the water. I think the auto-repeat should be delayed a bit, it's a bit easy to accidentally move or rotate too much,  but otherwise this is really cool

Developer

Thank you for playing! Really glad you found it funny :D I enjoyed your games as well, way more polished than this disaster :D

Definitely agree with the auto-repeat thing. I knew that something was off but didn’t realize what until you mentioned it, so thank you.
