Theme incorporation
solitude: you are completely alone, stuck on this strange island between dimensions, trying to find a way out

cosmic horror: mysterious island in a strange dimension, where you will stay forever if you don't find a solution quickly. Sounds like horror in a cosmic setting to me

Score: 315.

Got it first try! I think I had about 15 second left on the clock when I stepped into the portal haha

I loved the otherworldly visuals and void space that I was exploring here, the lighting was really atmospheric and all the textures looked great. The gameplay is interesting, solving the puzzles was fun but having them all connect into a larger riddle was a great touch that I think enhanced the overall experience. I also appreciated the option to have immediate movement.

I definitely felt the tension of the timer, so that was effective.

Well done!

"Score : 393" It took me a retry, although at least I did not use my previous knowledge so I don't feel that bad ;) .

This was fun to play. I like the premise of the game about temporary worlds and I like that it's materialised by a real timer. The empty tiles especially enhance the atmosphere of being lost in a nowhere part in the edge between space and something else. The game controls well, I think the two different spike trap behaviours were the best part of the gameplay but the combat works and the other puzzles were different and added variety.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice base game, I think the story that the player in a strange dimension is a good excuse for the invisible parts of the dungeon. I would like it if the spike puzzle's timing is based on player's movement and not real time, I was kinda surprised that I have to move quickly to avoid it.

I died before I find an enemy to fight, so I can't comment on the battle system. but overall, it's pretty good.

A good mix of puzzles and some basic combat. The timer (with in-game/theme context) added some tension to the whole thing. I messed up on the spikes a few times but overall really well done. You have some good basics that could be built on for a full fledged crawler!

Thank god some puzzles in a game!
Good job on that.

Thanks for playing!

You can check out crypt hunter as well, if you haven't yet, they have nice puzzles too!

Nice Entry, with plenty of systems, and no glitches/crashes. An entry with puzzle is really nice, although those damn spikes got me dead twice! I would go for maps that have slightly less empty space. Upon completion of the objective, it would have been nice to unlock a door/shortcuts to not have to backtrack as well.

Overall, you have a nice engine to make game in!

Thanks for playing!

Im not planning to develop this game or any other dungeon crawler in the foreseeable future, since Im working on other projects right now.

Love that you incorporated puzzles and I really enjoyed the atmosphere

I liked time pressure mixed with simple puzzles. Died first time (on spikes), but got it second time. Would love if text will be a bit bigger, as it was hard to read all that text. Ant then I’ve just screenshoted numbers to be able to enlarge them and put them into a calculator :)

I seem to have gotten locked in a hallway.  After not being able to figure it out after two minutes of wandering back and forth I gave  up.

Very fun! I liked the premise, puzzle and the countdown. I felt very engaged throughout the game.

The movement was a little "bouncy" for me at times. For example, when I would try and walk into a wall, the camera would go forward and bounce back in an odd way. But it quickly became a non issue as I got used to moving around in the world.

Nice little game.  A bit of a puzzler mostly. It took me a few tries to figure it all out. Couldn't close the terminal after putting in the correct solution so I died there, but second time I got out of it somehow.

Developer

Thanks for trying it out!

The window should close if you click outside of it. I should have made it better perhaps, but this logic was a last minute change(previously it closed if you moved away, but then my concern was that if one maps movement to the numpad keys, this could interfere with inputting numbers into the textbox, so I had to make this change)

Oh man, I feel so dumb. I have the three numbers. I've checked and double-checked. And yet, it's not working!

Still, I enjoyed the game. Great to see folks on Godot. Good job with the puzzles :)

Thanks for checking it out!
Did it open the gate? You have to go through it to finish the game, sorry, that part could be a bit not obvious

Submitted

Haha, I see !

Yeah, a little "Gate is Open" message needed I think!

Nice game btw. Well done.

Movement, design, puzzles. textures all good stuff, but I don´t care about the timer and the UI stuff is unreadable with 4k resolution. But solid attempt.

Developer

Thanks for review!

Unfortunately I only have 1440p monitor and can't test how stuff looks like in higher resolutions. Also during this jam it wasn't in my priority list to make UI fit multiple possible screen sizes, I just concentrated on making it look fine for most common ones

Developer

Thank you for the review!!!

Good job on the atmosphere. The movement system was slow and a bit unresponsive but well done.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try!
Have you tried switching on 'immediate movement' in the settings?

Submitted(+1)

Hey,

neat little Game. I liked the atmosphere. The numbers puzzle was a little bit cumbersome with all the repetition - but the traps where cool. Movement was tight. I would have liked only keyboard controls more - like interaction on enter additional to the mouse.

But all in all cool entry!

Developer

Thanks for giving it a go!
The controls and movement (as well as other mechanics) were inspired by Legend of Grimrock games where you also do a lot of stuff with left mouse button, so I didn't expect this to be so controversial to be honest. I guess I will know better for the next year, if I decide to participate again

The mouse thing is only for me personally, I think - As I played it on a laptop on the couch. So dont take it to seriously.

I enjoyed playing it - no wasted time. :)

Developer

you are the second person to mention this today, so Im taking it seriously :)

i liked this one. my windows installation gave me a lot of guff about downloading, extracting, and running it. Godot be like that, I guess.

I got through the blue zone, the green zone, and I even had the red zone key.

Good job.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try! I saw your playthrough on the stream, don't have much to add here
The windows protects you from "strange" executables. As far as I know the algorithm is something like this:
1. If the executable is digitally signed, Windows assumes its from a good source and doesn't complain. Otherwise
2. It checks with microsoft's servers how many other people run the same file. If its less than some threshold, it will complain about possibly dangerous content.
And yes, I don't have a dev certificate to sign my files. Those aren't free last time I checked
